Pls keep us updated with testing !

I will share my further experience as well.

Default Tamiya TRF419X Touring Car Large Diameter Short Spring Set #42306

Hi Guys

May I know if anyone has tried using the Tamiya TRF419X Touring Car Large Diameter Short Spring Set (#42306) on the TRF419X car? The spring set consists of the following:

a. 1 pair of soft springs;
b. 1 pair of medium springs (which is the stock TRF419X's springs and please correct me if I'm wrong); and
c. 1 pair of hard springs.

May I know how do you find it as compared to XRay regular and 2.5-2.8 progressive springs?

Thank you.

TJ, I'm not sure if the xray orings will fit, but had the same issue with the ARC R11 until I put the xray orings in them.

Use blue one but shim it properly 0.2-0.3mm shims needed ( 4mm wide shim!dont use 3mm shims since it will scratch the rod) same size of shims used for center pulley!

Springs - xray or smj the top springs today imo. I will test them only....

This is what you want... These work much better then the blue o-rings.

Yep, I use the clear ones for my club car. Very low maintenance.

The clear ones are the best from Tamiya. The Re-re Sand Scorcher shocks leaks like a sieve. When I installed the white ones in place of kit red, they became real dampers again.

Have you guys had any problems with binding?
What inserts do you guys use? Stock ones or the ones from exotek?

The exotek are really tight, you need to use oil to break them in. If they are still too tight, switch back to fluorine

When i built my car the according to the manual, the front right and rear left arms werent swinging smoothly. I had to take out a few of the thinner shims in order for it to operate smoothly. I replaced the shims as needed when things began to break in and developed play.

Can anyone tell me if the new Tecra suspension mounts have the lower 05 design like the new 05g blocks, or are they the standard height?

Hi Professor
They are 0.5mm lower. On very hard hits the inserts can crack/pop out. Happened once during outdoor season. Overall very happy

What other drive cup blades fit Tamiya cars. My spool is chewing them apart.
