I have had good luck running my XTi in the long/long (chassis/motor pod) configuration, which reduces weight transfer under acceleration just like a lower CG does.

The nice thing about lowering the CG and/or lengthening the wheelbase is that it also makes the car less "pointy" on turn-in, which is great for those of us whose reflexes have slowed over the years.
Thanks Howard, will try a low ride and c how it goes, iam at 3.5ish now and its rubbing the chassis a little, will try to stiffen the car a little and a some caster.I really think the blue fronts r the way to go,again thanks to all for the help

Harder center shock spring did it for my car.

My opinion is Spec Tires are the way to go, but, I'm only trying to set up for big races.

Been using the spec tires in 17.5 on the old grey carpet, no traction issues for me or the other top drivers. You do need to change your set up for them though wasn't too hard in my opinion and once close fine tuning was easy to me.

Will moving the rear axle back and forth have a similar effect as moving the rear hubs back and forth on a 2wd buggy? Hubs forward, the car will square up more and have more forward bite, back and the car will carry more speed.

On Pan cars you can't move the rear axle forward or back, it's fixed in one position. You can only move the rear axle up or down to adjust the ride and height and moving the rear hubs out or inwards to decrease or increase the width.

Not completely true. On the reflex car you can shim the axle carriers to move the axle out as much as you want. Same with the Roche p12. They offer different offset carriers to move the axle up to 2mm front to back

Ok, I did not know that Reflex and Roche cars could do that, but most of them do not have that adjustment.

The option adjusters for the Roche are up and down.

It does move up and down but also front to back. I was wrong by it being 2mm. Looks to only be 1mm and 2mm over all

I have a Roche car which allows you to move the axle both vertically and horizontally.

Yes, the Roche car allows you to adjust the rear axle front to back and up and down. It just depends which way you flip them.

Greene/2x Blu seems like a combination that won't give enough front grip. I could see the following combos working better for you:
Blu/2x Blu
Blu/Blu
Greene/Blu<-- This was always my preference before we spec'd purple stripes.

As Scirocco pointed out, we have figured out minor tweaks to get our purple stripe tires to hookup very well on the old gray carpet. The only real tweaks I made to my CRC XTi WC were to soften the front springs to .45mm from .50mm and went to the stiffest rear spring and bump the oil to 35 weight. I also run my front and rear tire diameters the same and run an even ride height front to rear.
