Default Hex screw for Hitek servo

Instead is using the philips screw that comes with it. What size and where to get them?

That's not correct, all the hitec servos I used were m2.6. It's an odd size but available, or do what I did and tap it m3.

Which servo do you have? Our 7xxx series of servos and older, use a 2.6mm x 8mm machine thread screw. Our 8xxx and 9xxx series of servos have 3mm x 8mm screws. A-main hobbies has the screws in stock. HPI part number z420 for the 2.6mm. and any 3mm will work.

i called them about this one time and they lacted like it was crazy i wanted hex's.

i have the hitec 9630 sero, the screws seem much smaller and longer than m3 x 8..?

they seem like m2.6 x 12 or something with weird spaced threads, is that not true?

M2.6 also holds M2.5.

M2.6 is used in many Tamiya models and M2.5 hex screws are used in bacplates of some nitro engines.

I work for Hitec, the 9360 uses an M3 x 8mm machine thread screw.

The OP was referring to the screw that holds the servo horn on, which is the sizing that i am referring to. We do not make hex case screws.

We do not make a mini servo by the name of 951. i know that KO has a 951 servo, but it is not a mini servo, it is a standard sized one.

Sorry for the mix-up...It's a HS-5245 MG.
