Not much thought
So where is this RC series where you race GT cars and prototypes in separate classes ?

First off there is no racing class just called GT. That's part of my point there is no clear class definition of GT in the United States Secondly I said "technically" in my post and if you know anything about IMSA racing the prototype cars and the GTLM cars and the GTD cars do race for the overall win and that my friend would be just like at my scale RC track.

So no Porsche 911 GT1? No Toyota GT-One? They're GTs!

On the list: COLT 911 GT1 200mm Clear Part #: M1136

I just looked at this one, and it is lovely. Thanks Mr.P.! I might have found my next body!

Does anyone know how thick it is?

I know it's been mentioned before (sorta tongue in cheek), but maybe the class should be called USSCR (U.S. Sports Car Racing) instead of USGT to keep everyone happy and be all-inclusive to GT and Prototype folks alike.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Such a PC culture we now live in. It won't be long before the word "WRONG" is eliminated from the english vocabulary completely.
Right now, anyone who dares to point out something that's flatout wrong.... is made to pay.

There is a solution. Gary could pull several hundred of the DP bodies and then 'discontinue' them. Through the 'discontinued body' loophole, it would now become legal, if I read the rule correctly.

Ah, I was looking for the HPI one, didn't scroll down far enough to see Colt was there!

I've used it in BRCA GT10 (200mm pan cars), it wasn't amazing, but better than the Colt CLK GTR which I also tried. I don't remember the thickness exactly, but while it wasn't a lightweight one, it wasn't overly thick either.

They also often have a twin-pack of them at RC Mart which isn't too expensive.

I guess the Mon-Tech M10 is pushing it a bit (and good luck fitting that to a touring car!).

You are right....but I stated "GT" for a reason. The class is called USGT. There is no straight forward "GT" class, only various versions. To really push it, Porsche does have a street legal GT1 Supercar.....but when will you ever see this....or for that matter, when was the a McLaren passed you on the street? Well, at for those of us in the US.

Mr Epp....I 100% agree!
