Team Associated TC4
YoDog, sorry to here about your current situation. I'm have a similar situation myself. Being retired I'm on a limited budget and it's been keeping me away from the track. However I've been thinking and drawing up some plans to make my own chassis and parts. I was wondering what type of equipment is used to cut fiberglass and or graphite and where to get it.

This is the one I used. It's from a company called Probotix.
Thanx, something like that was my first thought but then reality sunk in. I probably couldn't afford it if things were going well right now. My second thought would be a table mounted router or a drill press w/router bit in it and hand feeding the work into it. The end result would probably vary depending on how well my patience holds up.

I'm looking to add some lightness. Already have aluminum screws in most parts and Ti turnbuckles and lightened steel ball diffs.
I've been looking at cf chassi options but neither Yodog nor Digitty are available for purchase atm. Any ideas?

I guess that depends on the gearing used to be fast at your local track. In my case we run on a tight indoor carpet track and on a large asphalt 1/8th scale track that meeds really tall gearing to be fast. On the larger track the good fan is a must as we are running 2.8-3.0 FDRs.
This is in 21.5 bkinky. But I recon the same applies for 25.5.

I'm looking at this but I'm not sure if it really is available still and I prefer the design of the Yodog and DC4 kits.

Well the page is up with all the paypal cart functionality working and it doesnt say "out of stock" but I have not attempted to reach them. Even though that design doesnt seem very great compared to modern TC designs like the DC4 and YoDog designs.
I sent a few emails to Digity Designs and the were very helpfull, but did not have some of the key parts needed to complete the assembly, such as motor mts. Talk to yodog about that I think he was making those at that time.

Lord knows I spent almost enough to buy a brand new TC7 kit on this TC4 already.
So I think I'll just enjoy it as is and upgrade later on to one of the more high end touring cars.
