The 8th scale outdrives are all the same. They shouldn't be wearing excessively though unless you're running in fine sand or not lubricating them or running already worn drive shafts. If you think it is excessive, contact tekno's support with some pictures and receipts for time of purchase, and how you're running so they can try to help you out.

So stoked that the outdoor season is just about upon us here in the north east of the USA. Can't wait to run my ET48.3 again! Here's mine (after bumping into the B Main at Motorama, so still dirty), let's see yours!

...Sorry about that. The price is $479.99 + $20 shipping for US destination...so $499.99 delivered. I'm leaning towards pulling the trigger. Looks like 3 more are needed to get this price...I think that will happen though.

It's obviously a good deal if you could get it for $520 shipped!
On another note, this site is an interesting model... dunno how hard it would be to get the prices down to what you want to pay!
