Hi all,
in TRF102, is there a way to fit lipo battery without using a tape to secure it to the upper deck ?
Another question: does the T-bar break easily ?

My Lipos are just the right size so they're blocked by the upper deck, no need to tape. The thinner T-bar is more fragile, I didn't break the 1,8 mm one but we still need Tamiya to sell the spare parts or other brands to make them.

Thanks again.

Gens Ace shorty but now LCG LRP, 70 Gr lighter which, as there's still no minimum weight in french championship, is fine My TRF102 was weighted 966 Gr at first french round.

Just to let you know that T bars are in stock at RCJAZ. I tried the carbon front suspension on carpet and found it worked well even if I can't tell it's better. I reversed the upper king pin mount to add camber and didn't change other things as the front was Ok with hard springs.

One hell of a price though ..

Starting to think I should whip up a sheet of FRP (done it in the past for projects) and make a few of my own

no pic but I install a normal shorty on the sponge tapes without the floating mount on the upper deck, my pack being too tall.

I've recently been testing a carbon version replacement t-bar made by Bezerk RC here in Australia. So far the results have been excellent both for strength and performance.

If you're interested you can check it out on their FB - https://www.facebook.com/BezerkRc/ph...950862/?type=3

got my trf102 ready, can't wait to get it on the (carpet) track and compare it to my trf101. I actually bought a used one and will be using it for the exotek f1r3 conversion, but since that isn't out yet...time to do some laps!

It looks great with only black and blue colors. I could be interested in parts you won't need anymore with the Exotek conversion (lower deck, T-bar….)
