if you like buying from Europe, then the famous Modellbau-Seidel has Trf102 in stock and good price.

First runs on carpet, I like it a lot, much more than my F104 V2 with a very good steering (Pits 571/572 and Hudy carpet gripper). The only concern is the T-bar that I broke (the thinnest one) and, having only 2 now in my bag I'm a bit worried to see they're out of stock everywhere. Please Mister Tamiya, don't release cars if we can't run them because you don't sell the spare parts

mtveten......word is you are the Tamiya F1 master......I herd nothing but good things about your TRF knowledge. I am picking my TRF102 on Thursday, any advice on setup?..I run on ozite, and the track is about 65'x36'.....I was planning on putting an Exotek front end On it as I have one here not being used...what do you think? Thanks for any help!

I wouldst call myself a tamiya master but I would be happy to share my setup & experiences with the car on carpet.

I only have 1 carpet day on my 102 and although its not as fast as my trusty 104 its off to a good start and with a bit of time I am confident it equal if not surpass my other cars.
I have had my best results using the thicker t-bar with the ta03 blue (firmest spring is softest spring set) center spring, gold fronts and tamiya soft friction grease. my ride height is level at 4.5mm with no sag and 1.5mm pod droop. I am still running the stock front end using the #1 camber setting and 5mm shim under the front of the upper arm, w/ 3mm uptravel.

The car had exceptional corner speed, good steering though all phases of the corner and transitioned quickly.

On the downside i had poor forward traction and it was unstable under braking when the chassis was loaded. Using a stiffer chassis i was able to solve the braking instability and have made a top deck to provide a similar effect with the stock plate. I havent found a solution to the relatively poor launch compared to my 104 yet.

Tbar programmed and ready to cut.......now if I could only get in the shop to cut some. I have some 1.8mm graphite I was gunna CNC. Can anyone tell me where the bar has been breaking?

Mine at the rear, close to the hinge.

Is it at the mounting hole that connects the T-Bar to the hinge block?.....please toots a pic if possible....I bay be able to leave a bit of extra carbon around the holes to beef it up a tad......also there is a bit of room on the hinge side that can be cut I little wider
Again...if anyone can post a pic of where it is breaking I can alter the part before I CNC them

Broken behind the mounting holes, where it's less large, there is room to add carbon. No pic....in the bin.
