Official Tekin RX8 GEN2 ESC Thread

Thak bearing set was about 20-25-30 packs old, can't remember when i've put it in. Do you think it has happened due to bearing failure? Both Fr and Rr were in good shape, w/o any grit in it.

Okay, so I just bought my rx8 gen 2 and a track power 850 iron. I saw ticks video on rc network and it came out real nice and went really quick. The only difference is I'm using radioshack thin 60/40 solder. I got everything pre tinned and I'm on to attaching the wires to the posts. My problem is I can't get the wire to melt in with the solder on the post. I'm afraid of ruing the esc with to much heat, what temp do u guys recommend setting my iron to and how long can I safely hold it there. I have a feeling this radioshack solder is junk.

All the way up. The Rx8's heavy copper board and solder posts will suck a lot of heat, it's crucial to get good quick heat transfer.
