M05's are the best.....because that's what I have lol. No really Granpa. ...the shimizus are amazing on there and the car really has some slip to it so it drives a lot faster now...around my little sewer grate test track that is. It was great to get some time in without the wife wanting to kill me for it lol
I have Howard C. M05 he sold a month ago. It has a very small solar servo double stick taped on the servo area. Works well. Except Solar servo don't center all the time.
I installed the front and rear Tamiya CF damper stays on my V2. Fronts are very effective on removing the plowing it had, as expected. I am happy now. I guess I won't be needing the 0 degree rear toe-in uprights.
sipaboy- how much torque does that little servo have?

So I have a savox 1250 MG (Torque @ 6.0V: 63 oz-in / 4.6kg-cm) you guys think this will be good enough?
The one I'm using now is a Savox 1251 MG ( Torque @ 6.0V: 125 oz-in / 9.0 kg-cm) but if I can use the 1250 I'll reduce the weight about 30 grams.

Has anyone on here used their m05 for rallying?
I threw a set of tc shocks and some radials on my basher and ran it around on the dirt, gravel and short grass. It was lots of fun, but didnt have enough grip. It currently gets stuck in the longer grass and soft dirt. I think if I tightened the diff, threw some better tyres and a set of Ra hubs on it, it would be much better.
What tyres should I use?
I'd be interested in trying both of these, but I cant work out what rims I would use. Plus they have a big external diameter at 66mm

Does anyone have any advice for setups?

Another good choice would be the Spektrum A5040. It's spec'ed at 66 oz-in, and is reasonably affordable. I use these in my 17.5 TC cars, and they work fine.
