Does anyone know if the 44.3 gear slipper can be put into the 44.2?

Its not a gear slipper. Its a gear diff. And yes but additional parts are required to get it to fit, like the rear center shaft.

I think you will just need #9940,#9941, and #9949, but I could be wrong

Im in the middle of converting my .2 to a .3. I downloaded both manuals and started writing down the different part numbers for the entire drive line But I plan on running with the 2 pad VTS slipper and not the diff.

I know for a fact the rear center drive shaft is specific for the center gear diff P/N 9596 and I think you may need the bearing inserts P/N 9940. Along with the center diff and spur gear obviously...

You need the complete gear diffs, input pinion gears, and input shafts.

Diff cases and bearings are the same.

You'll need to sand down the peg in the diff case to accept the gear diffs.

I did a little research and its more than $175 to build front and rear gear diff if you want to keep your ball diff intact as an optional drop in...

Hey guys just picked up a used B44.2 on here and am actually enjoying it more than my B5m in stock class. Was wondering if there was an easier (read: more affordable) way to be able to run shortys than with the Schelle conversion?

EDIT: Reading back a couple pages it doesn't appear to be possible, unless someone knows of something I missed?

Nope, not enough room from the center slipper back.
