I also just bought an ET48 from a member and was wondering which bodies are available? Some of the truggyear bodies look great, but don't see much for the ET48.

As far as I know the only body available is the stock one. There was a rumour that the person who bought out FTW was going to release one soon.

Snow Designs bought FTW and is very close to releasing his body for the ET/NT48. He hasn't set a release date yet, but it should be soon.

The Proline NT48 Bulldog body fits, I use it for my ET48. It is a little wide since it is made for the nitro version, But other than that the holes line up perfectly with no adjustment, and it is alot tougher than the stock body

anyone try the new tapered pistons in the ET? Wanted to try then to get more pack on landings but not sure which size holes to use

How can there be an ET48.3 when there hasn't even been an ET48.2? Did I miss something?

We thought it would be best if all the new models shared the same name since they'll be sharing the new parts. That way there's hopefully less confusion when someone asks if you are running the .3 hingepin holders, wingmount, etc.

Is it normal that I have some leeway on steering? It's on the first pusher from servo.

Actually the new "tapered" pistons have less pack then "conical" pistons in the truggy. The new pistons came about as a way to get less pack in our buggies and also to achieve slower rebound if run upside down.

What does "pack" mean? And when is less/more pack better? Sorry for the dumb question but I have always just bashed and just getting into truggies and buggies. I am going to my first track this week. Kinda nervous about it. Am I going to find it difficult at first to stay on the track and take turns and jumps? I just don't wanna screw other ppl up in the race. Like I said I've never followed a line/lane/path like I said I just bashed so where ever I bounced and headed I just went with it. I wish I could have practiced on a track before goin to race but there are no tracks around me. I just happened to find this one 1.5 hrs away and have really been wanting to race. I'm also going to run my eb48.2 buggy which I have only driven one time for a few min. I am more confident with the Truggy.

Go and have fun! You won't be in people's way if you're thoughtful about driving, even if you're not very good. Just don't try to block somebody faster unless you're racing them and ahead of them and you should be fine. People understand what being a new race driver is like. You will have an advantage in knowing how to handle when your car is doing something random, how to roll with it and keep going, while most racers figure out how to correct something instead. Typical bashing setups jump really well but don't corner very well, so don't be surprised if you need to slow down to take corners. In general though, just have fun! The biggest thing you can do to make everything work better, and the first step to driving well on a track, is to have the right tires, so pick up a set of whatever everybody else is running, and then go from there.
