My best guess would be is that you need to upgrade your axles to CVDs.

Yep front universals are pretty important on the TT02 as the dogbones can pop out (Fusion hobbies in the UK sell a set for cheap).

How much camber are you trying to add? Are you looking at crazy Drift levels or race levels as we only go to about 3 degrees max for racing.

In my honest opinion. The TT02 Type S is the best kit I would buy. It has the adjustability, shock towers, and bearings included. Has the potential to become a very competitive chassis. im looking into crazy drift camber aha espcially as the wheels offset is rubbing on the body, basically i need enough for it to steer without hitting the body and so it looks clean?

Now that the type-D has some body shells associated with it, I would just get that (unless there is another TT-02 body that is desired in a base kit) or definitely get the Type-S for racing.

I have a tt02 set up for drifting. Not much info on drifting on RCTech but what is the advantage of 'crazy drift camber.' Does it reduce grip so it drifts more?

I've asked a few of the regulars thru PM but thought I'd just put it up on the main thread too.

Planning to run my old TT01 in a blinky 21.5 class. Need to get FDR down to about 3.6. I know the stock setup is limited to 5.72 (55t spur gear and 25 pinion). But I got an adjustable motor mount made so I'm not limited anymore. But would like to run 64 pitch spur gears. Something like a 64 pitch 73 teeth spur gear and a 64 pitch 53 teeth pinion (currently not sure if this would even work).

My question is:? Which is a better fit for the TT01 in terms of a spur gear adapter:

additional to the camber question, is there any mods that can give a much bigger steering lock to the tt02d

I have the High Speed Spur Gear set in both my TT02s. I tried it in a TT01 and it did not quite fit. I think it will fit if you grind a way some plastic as I recall. I'm going to try and set up my TT01 for VTA and need to re-address this issue myself.

just bought myself a TT02-S. still waiting for a few hopups so i can get started on building it.

the guys are right, i had to hold back from pressing the buy buttons on a lot of upgrades for this thing. so much is available.
