Default Corner speed

Hey fellas i'm in need of a little help. I've only ran this truck twice and my spur gear is stripped. That's another story. I'm running the box setup with the exception of the diff oil. I'm running 7/10/5. My problem is that the truck does not carry any corner speed. It is as if it has drag brake. It also wants to nose diving on jumps. So I put the 10 degree brake cams on it, still no speed. I then backed the brake pads all the way off the shoe to where even if I appied brakes the truck would not stop and it still is not carrying any speed. The guys at Tekno said that I maybe running too much rear toe. I run whatever the stock toe is. With the radio and car on and the car on a stand it spins freakishly free. There does seem to be a problem there. Has anyone had this experience?

Default NT48 Battery

Okay. I have my truggy about 95% built. I just realized that I have to remove the steering servo horn to install/remove the battery. Am I right about this or did I install something wrong?

How is your clutch bell/spur gear mesh. Is it too tight.

Just turn the wheels full left or right. Should be able to get the battery out.

I've been looking at these. The original throttle link rotates on ball bearings at the servo horn. I'm assuming that's not the case with the aluminum horn. Have you had any issues with binding (rotating metal on metal)? I just want to make sure all is good before I purchase. Thanks.

I was using them on both my Teknos. But have taking them off and went back to the stock ones. They don't bind unless you tighten them too tight. Problem for me is that after a while it developed slopped. Especially on the throttle side.

I doubt you did anything wrong but you should be able to remove battery without re moving the horn.

I still use it and have had no issues.

7/10/5 is a great place to start.

Hey guys, does anyone know if tekno is still going to update the spur gear? I ended up chipping 2 yesterday. I am running all the braces and setting my gear mesh tighter than usual.

Thanks...

The box set up is great. Personally I think 7-10-5 is a little to light for truggy, I'd says 10-15-7 or 15-15-10
