I would update, the update procedure does not loose any data but it is recommended to backup the model data first.

so it happened to me, I was running in a field of 10, and my buggy glitched twice, no throttle response, trying to recreate the problem tonight, very strange.
Prior to my firmware upgrade no problem.

Is there a way to revert to original firmware ? I want to rule out that being the glitch problem...

From an end-user stand point, I bet you will need to convince someone in Futaba tech support to send you the previous revision files to downgrade.

If you get that to happen, you may want to consider posting a link to it so others can have access to that as well.

Good luck!

Just got off the phone with Tech Support:
a) even if I did have the previous firmware, transmitter will not accept the downgrade
b) they haven't heard from the "field" of any problems....

Solutions:
a) create different model and try
b) relink reveiver (this was my idea)
c) try different receiver

take some tylenol and call back.....

I just hope this doesn't turn out like the overheating receivers from a while back.....

I had a similar issue as well BBQ, but I had it prior to the update.

Thank you,

when posting this can we post what receiver we where running, as this radio works in three different systems(FASST,TFHSS,SFHSS). Maybe we can help find the 'issue' or narrow it down.

I run R304SB-E mainly now, don't think I'll update my firmware right now though

I just received my 4PX today.

As many of you have previously commented on, it's not too light to feel cheap and it's not too heavy as in being a burden - it seems to simply feel right. The screen brightness and color are both spot on.

I do hate my existing R603FS RXs are not supported by the 4PX even though it claims to support FASST, just not C1, but C2. In my opinion, Futaba should help us better transition into the new technology by not limiting the compatibility from past technology.

Coming from my 3PKS, I can't wait to dig into the feature side of things.

Whats the difference between the 4PX and the 4PLS besides the LCD screen?

Your LHS in Australia should be receiving their 4PX's soon.
