Anyone ever experience Tekno wheel nuts skipping a thread when tightening up their wheels? It's the strangest thing but on one wheel recently fell off in a qualifier so I went to tighten it a little extra and it skipped a thread and loosened up a bit. After looking at both the axle threads and nut threads they both appear fine although there is some slop with them. I also thought it must have been the 17mm hex slipping inside the wheel but that is not the case either making all this seem very strange . I will replace the hexes and wheel nuts to see if it makes this issue go away, just wondering If I'm the only one who experienced this?

I love this combo! Front 6-1.5 450/Pink, Rear 6-1.5 350/Red. Mount holes 2 on F+R towers and outside upper at Arms. 106/122 on the droop.

I have had them strip and skip but you could tell they were damaged. Had to change hubs and wheel nuts...

I am. Camber mount locations are 2/B front and 5/C rear. Usually run 1-3 degrees of camber depending on track conditions.

Tonight I replaced the lightened hub and wheel nut with new ones and the issue went away . Both the threads in the suspect wheel nut and hub appeared to be perfect visually, but when they were threaded together you could notice there was some lateral slop causing the issue.

been installing this kit this week! happy early Christmas to me. I just installed the center diff and noticed that it will spin easily for about a 1/4 turn and then it becomes hard to turn... any reason for this that I need to look at? I already shaved off a little of the plastic brace above it as it was rubbing, then I took that plate off just to make sure. I don't want to keep going with the build for the sake of taking things back apart to fix it... thanks!!

Does it spin freely with the top plate off?

Put the top plate back on and let it rip...the spur will set itself after the first run....the top plate almost acts as a thrust control

took a closer look and it seemed that one of the screws in the differ was slightly backed out enough to rub... cranked it down now it's good to go... my first build, forgive me.. ha!

Our local track Adventure RC raceway is clay and has tons of grip but can get dry and loose really quick at times. I also move the back camber link to the inside top and no other changes other than tires and it makes all the difference in the world. I haven't tried the front yet as I didn't feel it was needed. I now have 3 EB48.2 buggies. I really like this buggy.

Any ideas on MBX7R-Eco vs EB48.2? Still debating which one to get.

to be honest I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

One of the fastest guys here ran mugen this summer, another fast guy ran tekno. From what I could tell when cornering as I wasn't fast enough to be in there main was that the tekno in my eyes seemed to have more corner speed, the mugen seemed to be a bit more consistent through the rough stuff, basically a slight more planted rear end. However, we are not talking light years here and it could have been more due to setup, etc. And we run on conditions that when they dry out get very very loose, and very very very very rough lol.

I can't speak on the eco7r as I don't believe it has been released yet. However, I still feel that the tekno is a far better value as well a better quality kit. The tekno build is one of if not the best in the biz.

Taking my brand new eb out today for its very first run around the track in stock setup. Can't wait, hopefully I can be at least close to the laps I run with my rc8 v4. One thing I did notice though when the build was all done is there is a large amount ofvsteering slop in the left wheel, cant seem to work out why. Any thoughts?

I don't remember there being any slop when I built mine (a v1). Double checked all the steering linkages, etc, I assume?
