I talked to Richard from Bellgate, Champion engines are in. I should be getting a couple to look at next week.

They look good Rex.
I'm just running one in for a customer at present.
In the normal GO tradition they are TIGHT!!
Lots of heating and sensible run-in required, but that's just the norm.
Keen to hear your thoughts when you have had a good look and a tinker.

The new Champion engine, will the internals from a GX5-R fit into its crank case, was thinking that if the Champion is a newer design & better crank case then would installing the internals from my modded GX5-R make a better engine than it is with the GX5-R
crank case.
My engine has had timing changes so would that cause any problems with the new crank case, & not sure if my engines crank case has been modded though so would have to check with Mark from NAA, was just interested because I found a place here advertising the Champion with 2013 pipe & clutch kit for $279 (AU).

Got everything for $200. Im fairly happy. Havent made it home yet to look through everything but ive seen some of what i have at the lhs and if i paid full price for everything i got today id be into thousands. Smokin deal i couldnt say no to. Just the motors alone ive seen for $300+ and these have the bearings and conrods done already.
Im a happy guy today lol
Hi. I'm glad you're happy with the deal. I hope you are equally happy with the condition of everything. Enjoy!!

A shorter manifold normally helps with more mid/top end power, atleast it does on the REDS engine with 2104 pipe & XS (extra small) manifold, although the XS manifold doesn't look that much smaller than the manifold I have with my 2072.

As the go 2072 shorter then other pipe, with the manifold, it will measure about same length as other pipe like dynamite n argus pipe...

I put the motor that you said was a spare in my Losi 8 and primed the fuel line. I didnt pre heat and literally just stuck the ignitor on the plug, the motor barely did a revolution before it fired. And it idled. So i gave it a rev....it smoked up the house, came back to idle and stayed running. I couldnt believe it, ive had no luck with motors since i started this hobby so when something works this good i get excited lol

Im very happy with everything, i still cant believe what i got and for that price. Thank you very much! Just have to find an indoor track now, this weather is so unpredictable i havent had more than a few mins run time.
