Do it! I raced for the first time last weekend and had a blast. Ended up 2nd in the B-main, so I didn't bump up, by my Tekno was on point for this newbie. A few fast local guys and few fast Intermediate class guys that I recognised from the JBRL series were there as well. Too much fun! Practice, practice, practice

Yea, Don runs a great facility. Track is always maintained really well and the layouts are fun and challenging without being ridiculous. I've missed living in San Diego.

Just got a message that Tekno already shipped the goodies. I placed the order 2 hours ago.

I should clarify...I didn't race Heritage last weekend, I raced in Santa Barbara. I'm hoping to hit some of the great tracks a little further south of me that I keep hearing/reading about

Yep, they're quick for sure. When I ordered my goodies from them yesterday, I received a shipped response within the hour!

I got a great upgrade. HPI 107446. Comes with 2 long and 2 short rod ends. Buy 2 and use the short ones. They also use a set screw to secure the spring cup so the rod end.

Do the original rod ends still fit or do you have to use the HPI units? I've never been a fan of the bags but dont how well these will actually work either.

The stock ones don't work because the key is moved to the back of the shock end rather than the side. I calipered them out and fully threaded in they are the same length.

Your kit didnt come with the aluminum cartridge caps? Both were included in my kit.

Just to double check ... Ftw xb9 body fits with no mods? Only use a losi air filter?

While troubleshooting some erratic higher temperatures and less sharp throttle response, found that my center diff pins has warn into the cup sideways, causing grooving and odd handing. Running 5/5/4.

Question however. When I put the back rear of most other buggies on the ground and rotate the front tires, there is a moderate amount of resistance. This does not appear to be the case with the NB48. There is a slight hint of resistance, but it's much more free. I'm wondering if this is normal and can I stop searching for another issue (which I'm failing to find)?

This is the body you need. No modifications are needed other than the air filter. Your best bet is to cut the body before you paint so it's easier to figure out where you need to make the holes and cut lines.

Why not run the body that FTW made for the NB48?

Because it's almost as ugly as the original.
