Tekno RC EB48 Thread
Can't say enough good things about Lutz. He's come to our track a couple times and you can really tell a difference in him and other pro drivers. I've seen other "big name" drivers keep to themselves away from everyone. You may only really see them for the races. Ryan pitted right in the middle of all of us regular guys. He even let some of us test drive his car after the event. Great guy and I can't think of a better person to join the team.

This is great news. Lutz has been to our local track (Cape Fear Raceway) a couple of times and was always a class act. Very nice to everybody. Glad to hear he is on board with Tekno. Look forward to his feedback on the forums.

I've been a while since I've posted my latest setup so here goes it. Many of the local guys have asked so I wanted to offer it up to all.
Look for more of the team guys getting involved here as well. As we grow it's important for us to continue to provide support to all of of customers and support the racers to the best of our ability.
Keep up the great work and it's going to be a great 2015 year.

Thanks - interested.

Micros4guy,
Thanks! I appreciate it.
For a moment I thought maybe he was talking about putting the SCT410 hubs on the rear
I don't even know if that's possible...

Gentlemen,
I am about to join the ranks of an EB48.2 owner! I have done research almost daily as I am really getting into the hobby. Although I've done plenty of wrenching on my 8.2e rtr, this will be my first kit build. I feel this is a more knowledgeable and professional forum as compared to others, so I was just wondering if there are some things I should consider before starting the build. I don't want to screw it up. Thanks!

From there, I would review setups that appear to fit your track conditions and see what parts they used for setup.
Some things that are nice to have on hand I think would be different pistons than stock (6 x 1.5s I am liking, kyosho style but Teknos should be even better, I am just cheap lol) and the LRC rear toe in block.
Depending on how rough your conditions are, give the steel spur gear a look too. I personally run them on all my Tekno's due to conditions out here.
Other things would be more setup related, like spring selection I would say.

would recommend reviewing the first page, good info there.

Get you a set of quality wrenches. some green slime (for shock seals) and mobile one red grease (for he diff seals). Other than that just take your time and enjoy the quality.

you have picked up one of the EASIEST and best kits for your 1st build. The kit is laid out in order in the bags and everything for each step are included in the bag to complete the step.

also when it comes to shimming the diffs you do not always need the 2 shims on the ring side for the diffs. If you can not get them in there you do not need to force them.
