Default Modyfying Crank

Can somebody explain what are the effects on advancing the opening and delaying closing on crankshaft timing inlet hole?

Basically advancing opening gives you more torque, retarding closing gives you more high end. Have to be carefull on the balance between both. I repeat basically.

Default .21 vs .27/.28

I am currently running a OS V-spec engine in my Hot Bodies Stadium truck. The engine is tires and I am shopping for a new one.

Since Monster Trucks aren't limited to .21s, is there a dowside to running a Wasp or Sirio 28? I have also been looking at the new Picco / OFNA 27. The cost of these engines is about $190 vs $350 for a strong .21.

Can I still get the same performance with a quality Big Bore as I have from my OS . 21?

Thanks
