Hi all, I'm still a novice at drifting but have been playing on and off for about a year plus with a TT-01D.
Anyway, I am now planning to upgrade the above to a Sanwa MX-V PC RX-37W set. If i'm not wrong, I believe I would still need to buy a new ESC and servo.
If so, my question is which ESC and servo should I be looking at if I were to get the Sanwa MX-V/Rx-37 set? (In terms of value for money/potential to it). Thanks in advance!

I was on the way to Fook Hai Building to get the Losi Mini 8T ($380) yesterday. But something inside told me to go over to Swan to take a look before buying. Then I was shown the Hobao Hyper TT electric rtr at $399 that was a 1/10th scale with all the hopped up parts compared to the Losi! Man that fella had all the shiny bells and whistles!
I like the Losi mini 8t for it's newer design (avc etc) and good handling (read in the forums).

I like the Hobao for all the hopped up parts (hobby wing 60A esc n 3900KV brushless motor, Savox metal gear servo etc). Only worried about it's older design (2010) and that parts may not be in production soon.

Which one will you guys go for?

Hi Adrian, I believe I'm in a good place to share with you as I was in almost the exact same spot half a year ago. Cut the long story short, I went from 4 channel mid size heli to 6 channel mini heli to currently, mini quads and 1/10 truggy.
The final 2 mentioned are what I enjoy the most now.
There is no short cut to finding out what you'll like best until you've tried them out yourself. But the good news is unlike years ago, the hobby has become more affordable for the same amount of fun in my opinion.
A good starting point is to ask yourself, what's the amount you like to spend for your first heli/quad and 4 wheeler?
Here's my best recommendation for someone new and what's in my hanger/garage:
Heli: MJX F45 (~$120+), Super CP (~$150+)
Quads: Hubsan X4 107C 2MP, Syma X5C (each ~$80+)
(All the above I order from Banggood.com)
Truggy: Ofna Hyper TT RTR (~$450+ with battery)
(From Swan Trading)

Read a couple of posts from this forum asking where can play electric 1/10 rc cars. I too looking for a good place after the Taroda at East Coast had closed down. Anyone has any place to recommend? Recently I saw this Urban Playspace, anyone playing there? I not a competitor in nature, just wanna run my cars occasionally. I have a M05, TT05 coverted to drift spec, couple of off-roads. Batteries are goner, need to replace.

Hi everybody!
Like everybody else, or not, im new here. But ive been running nitro offroads awhile now by myself, anywhere with soil. But i would like to start to actually bash the cars on a real track. I currently run a 1/8 kyosho mad force nitro.and a dbx 2.0. all rtr stuff. Not a pro but i love going about it now and then. After much reading, nitros are not really a hot favourite around here. And i was just about to get a nitro on road car. Please advise. Should i or should i not. If yes, is there a track for a nitro on road.
While we are there, and truckies out there who can run with my mad force, please reply. The mad force is looking for a friend... Thanks guys..
