Online entries are open!!!
Guys im very excited to let you know that online entries are open!!
Thomas aka Bugle has put in a lot of effort and time to set this up for us so now we've got the same entry setup like the club series pros. Once you have selected your classes and input your car information and transponder numbers (please have your transponder numbers ready before you start) then you can also indicate how many motors you need, then it sends you through to paypal to finalise your entry, it couldn't be simpler!!
if something has gone wrong with your entry, just let me know, I can change some things, delete entries etc

Transponders
Hi, I missed a year. Do we have to buy our own transponders or are there still loaners?

Hi all, one of your mates Clint mentioned this Vintage Race at Castle Hill to me the other day and I thought I would have a look if that's ok. I don't race and have only pulled my old cars out of the garage about a year ago and dusted them off after 20 years! I have spent the last year dusting them off so they (and a fair few purchases later) looking a lot better and seem to run fairly well. AS I am a complete novice at this I wanted to ask some obvious questions re what car or classes I can run. I see the cut off date is Dec 91' so does that mean I can run my Yokomo works 91' pretty sure it was released way before then. The rims are 2.1 inch thought I am pretty sure and I currently have some JC Racing rims/tyres on them? Is that a no go with the wheels an tyres? Also I have an original Manta Ray, can I run this in the plastics class? Or any other classes? All my cars except the Manta Ray run modern electronics and lipo's/brushed motors, what are the stock Mubachi's ? I assume they are brushless for $14? Thanks and sorry for the stupid questions.

Welcome aboard,
Someone more knowledgeable than me will have to answer some of your questions but the Mabuchi motors are standard brushed motors as found in a Tamiya kit. They are not brushless.

Ok thanks...so I should be able to run the Manta or YZ 870/91 in the stock as long as I have mubachi brushed motor and run say another 870/91 in the open class with brushless? Hmmm maybe I need to purchase a 2wd???
SO with stock you have to run standard rims right? Means I have run the 2" rims on the manta and run the old tyres ...AS for he 870 its the same..not many 2inch tyre options that I know of..but the 91 has 2.1 inch rims stock..is that allowed in stock.sorry if I am asking obvious questions....me=novice...
Cool cant wait should be fun! Um is he track open on the Friday before hand so I can have a bit of a blap?

Manta Ray and Works 91 are vintage legal cars for 4wd Stock or Modified classes. A complete list of eligible cars and rules are listed on page 1 of this thread. The track is open to the public for use at any time.

Hey flustorm!
Welcome to the vintage festival mate! Sounds like you have some cool cars there! ! Ask as many questions as you like, there's plenty of people on here who have been to previous events who are all willing to help and they're a friendly bunch of guys.
As ed had pointed out, there's a tonne of info about all the classes etc in the first post of this thread. It might take some reading lol but hopefully it should make things clearer.
The best thing about the festival is its not about hard core racing. The aim is to allow people who haven't raced much or have been away from the sort a while to dust off the old machines and drive around the track with a bunch of like-minded people.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Cheers
