I would solder the wires together and paint some liquid tape on it, but otherwise should work fine, just won't have the use of the switch which is convenient on race days. You could probably hook up a new switch by soldering it inline then using the liquid tape separately + and - too keep it from shorting and would be good as new.

Hello fellow races of the RC community,
I wanted to send out a very sincere Thank you to all of the people and teams that have donated Money and RC Items to my family and I in this time of need. As you know we had a tragic incident happen on July 5th at approx. 8 pm. We had a house fire and lost all or our belongings along with 2 Parrots and 1 of 2 cats. The cat that made it was rescued by a fireman and we are extremely lucky to still have him. He is just a year old and his name is Marley. We have moved into a temporary residence very close to my home while the rebuild process starts. The rebuild will take 6-8 months.

I'm new here to this forum bit have just picked up an et48 and it's a beast. But on my first run out I've cracked a front drive shaft at the pin end that goes into the diff and the pin has come loose. Is this a known problem with these drive shafts. This is not the centre front drive shaft but the steel one going to the wheel.

Not that I've heard/seen... This is my first electric r/c truggy and I have already beat the snot out of it on the track. Many hard landings and I have even caught the spikes they use to drive the pipe that is along the track a couple times. SO - in my experience thus far with the truck, it's pretty solid! Takes a lick'n and keeps on tick'n!

Ive never had this happen on any vehicle, definitely an unusual thing. You probably had a shaft with faulty material /manufacturing.
Where you running maximum front droop?

The car was set up as stock settings and just some light driving on dirt car park.

Unfortunately my first time out with my truggy I had the same problem but with both front driveshafts they cracked allowing the pins to be loose and one pin even moved enough to chew up the arm as is spun around. Tekno customer service was great sending me new shafts and arms right away but I dont think that the new ones will really have different results. I really hope Tekno looks heavy into this asap because I love the truggy even enough that I also bought the nitro version.
As for the droop question I dont have the exact length but my droop settings were screws turned in about 1 full turn after making contact with chassis " yes the were set equal I may guage was just going crazy on the reading".


It looks simple enough as the shafts where cut flat at the end by the pin and maybe if there was a bit more material there they would have the strength to handle the Electric hp.

Fyi I am running my truck with 4s and the castle mamba monster 2 system with 2200kv motor. I do run at the Fear Farm home of the Nitro Challenge which is one of the most brutal tracks in the country but I am a pretty high level racer and dont ever bash just race. I raced all night and probably only crashed 5-10 times and cant think of any hard crashes I think it is an issue unrelated to crashing but probably under either heavy breaking or acceleration.
