This is not the centre front drive shaft but the steel one going to the wheel.

Thanks
I saw the same thing today, a new racer with the same problem as you but the two front driveshafts lost their pins almost at the same time! He had replacement drive shaft but still doesn't understand what the cause is. I have mine since march, practice a lot and race and no problem at all for me. Maybe a bad batch of driveshaft.

I just wanted to add that this weekend was the first run on my NT48 and I drove it very hard and I just finished going through it getting it ready for next weekend and both front axles are still good to go, no cracks in these shafts. Hopefully it was indeed just a bad batch somehow.

I finally changed mine to 10/15/5 a week or so ago. I've only had it out once since then and the track was very dry with loose dirt and low traction. Sure seemed like I had more steering and tighter turning radius than the last time I ran it on similar track conditions though.

I'm hoping to make it out for a little practice Thursday night and then do our local club race Saturday. We'll see how it feels on a better prepped track.

Interesting... this is usually how my local track conditions are. I am running stock right now (20/20/10). I really want to rip the diffs out already and change out the oil weight to 10/15/5 since it seems this is the most common set-up thus far.

What are people generally using for springs/oil in their shocks? I am running stock set-up here too buy would like to experiment!

I'm running either 10/15/5 or 20/15/5 can't remember, but really looking for more slow corner rotation and/or steering coming out of the corner. I'm really having to throw the rear end into the turn coming to get it to come around. I'm tempted to try 3 in the rear but seems really low for such big tires.

I am currently using 10/10/5 diff fluid and 47.5-37.5 (stock pistons) shock fluid and It works very well.

Mizchief, if you need both exit and slow speed steering a diff oil change may not be what you need. Try moving your front inner link up on the tower and see if that helps at all for you.

The battery tray is 148mm x50mm, so if your going for something that is not Roar standard then there the sizes you need.
