No experience with gen II's but just had a issue calibrating my gen I 80a to my Flysky GT3B. It just wouldn't complete the setup when it got to the final brake step. Drove me nuts. Havent used the Flysky in quite a few months but seemed fine last time I used it. Threw in a Orange DSMII receiver and my Spektrum DX3R-Pro radio and it set-up just fine. The Flysky still sets up fine to my stock Slash. Either im missing a setting or the Flysky doesn't like the Turnigy?

Can anybody give me some advice on programing boost timing, turbo slope, turbo timing, boost timing rpm, turbo delay, boost timing ACC. Basically boost and timing 101 for dummies. I have a 80a gen 1 and a old 13.5 Novak in a basher and it works fine but just want to wake it up a little. I do have the 80a/120a program box and figured I would ask instead of just wildly guessing.

Will it calibrate? Start from scratch. Reset model. Try a different sensor wire. Double check motor wiring. If all fails, last resort bypass switch.

I have one of these 120a esc.
Cant seem to get reverse to work. Got the programing box. set up in Profile 2 with for/brake/rev. It runs fine in forward, when I try reverse, an amber light stars flashing. Using a Tactic 2.4ghz radio.
Used the Trackstar motors. Worked graet. Wanted to try esc.
Looking at possibly using these in all of my vehicles.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Try recalibrating the speedo..Make sure all your trim settings are at 0..

no,i landed a little flat bottom off a jump(my b5 didn't even chassis slap) and it acted up from that point, steering works but no throttle and lights were off on esc,i can't calibrate it because it seems like there is no power going to the esc, when i turn the switch off and back on i just get 2 red blinking light twice and it shuts off.if i plug it in a aux port on the receiver the yellow light lights up and the wheels go,ill try bypassing the switch but maybe i rattled something on the board loose

Ive had about 5 of these ESCs now and I'm starting to see a trend, I don't know if it's because more people are starting to use them or if Turnigy/ Hobbyking has started to relax on the QC but if you start reading from the beginning of this thread you can slowly start to see the failures increase. I've had two gen II's and 3 gen I's, I no longer have any working gen II's, one was user error and one just simply quit working. Out of the 3 gen I's one has only ever been ran in blinky with no problems, one in my sons mod 2wd buggy with no problems and mine that has been acting up for quit w awhile. All 5 have only been ran with reedy motors ranging from 7.0 to 17.5. I've burnt up a 7.5, no idea what happened, cased a jump and then the car wouldn't move, motor was 190 after a third of a lap. I've had sensor port issues with this ESC and I've had my car stuck at full wood with this same ESC. And then it works just fine. But it's hard justifying 200 bucks when there are threads posted with people having issues with the high dollar brands.

Just thought someone might be interested in this email I received back from roar admin.

Yes – technical test approval done, – but awaiting Technical Director approval of some other factors
