My SC6 arrived today and got me to thinking before I build it what pistons to use
I am using the 4x1.3 in my RT6 and like the feel so wondering what are other people using?

Using the 4 x 1.3mm with 35wt front and 32.5wt rear in rear mount. I'm pretty happy with it for our indoor clay track.

I'll give that a try as my starting point I Think.
I'm running 32.5WT front and 30WT rear in my RT6 so it seems its a close point

I am at 37.5 in the front and either 27.5 or 30 in the rear. That seem to work for both my indoor clay track and outdoor tracks. Orange spring in the front and gold spring in the rear.

That's a big gap.

I must admit I have only ever had a difference of 2.5WT between front and rear but I am trying 5WT difference on my RB6 but haven't had enough wheel time to see if I like it
I think I do

What is the benefit of the bigger gaps?

The stiffer the front, the less steering you get. This truck has tons of steering so I want trying to get rid of some of it. I am still playing with the rear. So far with the conditions that I deal with this seem to work best. Still doing testing.

I use the stock 5 hole Piston with 30wt front and 25wt rear I must say this thing is on rails at my local indoor track... i could have TQ but screws backed off on my steering rack.. so I started on the back of the pack on the A main... took the lead only after 5 laps and never look back and put the whole field a lap down... not to mention this is the first time my SC6 seen the track with one practice on it the day of the race and I never race 2wd SCT ever. All I can say is wow! All the fast guys on our expert 2wd SCT class just got blown away how SC6 handles. I can point the darn truck anywhere I want it to and it just on rails..

I would be keen to see your set up as well.
How far off the kit set up do you have it?

Since he kit comes with the upgraded steering parts I would suggest only from more of a tuning point to get the Aluminum Rear hangers (UMW705, UMW706 for RM & UMW707 For MM)

I personally don't believe the cars need the bling stuff.
I run all my 6 based family cars with only the steering and the rear hangers the rest is all kit stuff.

You could get the V2 Aluminum Rear Hub Set (UMW704-0) for more tuning ability as well that is the only thing extra I am going to add to my cars.

Anyway just my 2c worth on it

It comes with the Aluminum parts as standard.
If it didn't that would be the only thing I would suggest to upgrade as it was a weak point on the RB6.

All I do is in the rear bulkhead put grub screws in the holes that don't have the ball stud in it and use longer ball studs in certain areas like the hub carrier
