Thats what I was trying to say but you were much clearer haha... I can post pics of mine when i get home but as everyone has said, the carb needs to pull straight out and the linkage should stay straight and parallel with the carb as you pull the throttle otherwise you will cause leaks in the carb.

RokleM, you have too much oil on your filter. Squeeze it with a paper towel until all the dark blue spots are gone.

As others said, getting he linkage lined up with the slide is crucial. Having an angle can cause carb wear and make your throttle hang. Get that straight first, then deal with the air filter.

i saw someone mention they used the JQ "L" aluminum servo horn for the throttle/brake on NB48 but how did you do it w the bearings and swivel where the throttle linkage connects to the horn?

You will have to use something like this instead of the bearing and swivel setup.

Yup, agreed. I just pulled a fresh one out of the package to test with. I already removed the excess. They come pretty soaked in the package, which is better than dry for sure.

Nope no outerwear for me. I do run some self $2 adhesive gauze on he filter if it's extremely dusty.

This is how I have the linkage set up with my Werks motor. I would agree that your carb isn't going to have a long life like that. It'll lock up on you being tweaked like that.
