That's what I did after I bought the SCT410. Worth it just to have parts compatibility. The EB has more turn in and squares out of turns and flys better than my RC8.2. With good tuning etc. i'm sure I could be as fast with either one, but I just like the way the teknos drive better.
And parts sharing is a big part of it as well. I've lost a week of driving time with my buggy twice lately because I broke a $10 part that my LHS didn't have in stock. I want to start building up a collection of spare parts and it will be really nice if many of them can be used on either vehicle.
The dog gave me a Tower Hobbies gift certificate for fathers day. And they have the 10 percent off deal on their home page right now so I think I just made up my mind to order one tonight along with my aluminum servo horn.
Edit: Done. Gonna be happy, happy, happy in about a week when it gets here.

Hey I've got 3 race weekends in on my nt48, I love everything about it, but the nt48 forum seems dead. How many nt48 drivers go straight to this forum? Such a good truggy, or dare I say, after hanging up my mugens, deserves an active thread in my opinion. I don't wanna bother the et48 drivers with nitro truggy stuff....

I got a question for the ET48 racers here. What do I need to adjust to help keep the nose planted better? Center diff oil? At more than 3/4 throttle the front is in full "ballooning". This is causing me to go nose high over most of the bigger jump when I gotta hit them with full power. But on another note: this thing is a total blast to drive. The landings after big jump are amazing. I would like a bit more steering, and will adjust for that. And it's tough! As any good newbie I had a few good tumbles, and one hard nose plant into the side of the triple Only thing I had loose after the day at the track where the sway bars. Still debating on going to mechanical brake to keep motor temp down.. If I do I think I can pull a bit more power out of it. I wasnt able to clear the double/double like I can with my buggie. But this is by far one of the best rc's I have bought.. And I have durango's and mugen's! to compare to

Yes if the front tires are ballooning you need to go up in wt in the center. On medium to high bite I'm liking 10-12-7 and on medium to low bite 10-10-5. That's what I have found to work. And I've also noticed the truck to be very sensitive to slight changes in setup and diff oils (which IMO is a good thing) so make sure when you make changes do them one at a time and make the in small increments until you find what suits you. Have fun and good luck
Oh and your right this truck is a dream to drive! I love ever second of it!

Could the tire brands have something to do with it? I'm running AKA I-Beam Evo, soft, pre-mounts. I didn't feel like it was hurting the jumping ability at all but who knows how my local track compares to where cannonballs runs. And, again, I'm pretty light in the experience department.

I'm not arguing here, because I've only been back in the hobby for a couple months, but I'm running the stock 20-20-10 and my front tires balloon pretty easy as well. And I have my ESC current limit set to 65.

Could also be the brand of fluids you use. There are several of us that are running the tekno in my area and all have settled in the same area and have no issues with ballooning the fronts. And I have tons of power I'm running a cc2200 with a 16t pinion or a 1550 on 5s depending on what track I'm at. But again you have to go with what works for you. If 20 is to thin go to 25.
I'm also curious about temperature. My manual specifically mentions changing shock oil weight based on outside temp. Are the diff oil weights less sensitive to temp since they are so much thicker? I was a DFW resident for 18 years and there was a pretty significant difference in temp between the two months of winter, month each of spring and fall and the 8 months of summer. Surely 50 degrees makes some difference in the effective weight of diff oil.

I was very happy with he FTW body for my 8ight-E. It was quite durable. Hopefully if they decide to crank one out for the ET48 it will be of the same quality. I'd buy one just to find out!

I suppose that silence is golden. apparently nobody else has had chassis issues. At 4mm thick and 7075 aluminum, it seems like it would be incredibly durable.
