What are you all doing to set your brakes, the flow has no setting only automatic brake!
Is it just done on your handset?

More than the flow works probably

Actually it is double, at 20A the works is 0.11V/ph and the comp 0.22V/ph

That equates to 0.00055Ω and 0.0011Ω respectively.

Hard to compare to others unless you know at what amperage.

Thanks for the helpful information. I'm just figuring out which ESC is better for stock racing, the Competition or the Reventon Pro 1.1. I have both and deciding which one would be best suited for stock 21.5 1/12 racing.

Does anyone have any advice on gearing running an x20 13.5 with flow esc in blinky on a mid size track.

Where are you now gearing wise and what car?

I've been running too short and are about too change to 4.0, maybe lower. Quite a big track though. Timing will be around 35deg to start, but I expect I can go higher and will need to run reversed inserts!

I'm running a t4 14 . My gearing now in 13.5 boosted is 6.9 with stock 27.5deg . But now we will be running blinky. It's a small to med size track. . Thanks for the reply.

I just switched all my flows to 4.7 to race 13.5 boosted. Should I have left the 5.0 firmware on them? When I saw the amount of degrees in the boost section and the amount of degrees in the turbo section I thought the 4.7 firmware would work for 13.5 boosted.

Anyone know why my Flow Works Team won't do anything with any of the program buttons? Set or Mode do nothing no matter how I use them. The ESC works and is fine mechanically. It just won't even attempt to calibrate or go threw the quick setup for settings. It's not throwing any codes at me either. It works 100% fine except for I cannot modify it in any way.

- Motor works, receiver is powered
- no error codes
- Not in blinky mode
- cannot attempt to calibrate
- cannot attempt to change drag, timing, blinky, anything.

ESC is just a blue light doing it's job! haha.

Anyone?

do yourself a favor, remove the ESC from the car and see if you continue to have functional problems w/o it attached to the chassis. i installed a new Flow Works yesterday at the track and had similar issues. the problem was the wires were touching a metal brace on my car.

I just want to tell everyone that I love Semi-XBrake. I installed the 4.7 software in my blinky stock TC car yesterday and had MUCH MORE confidence under braking with rubber tires on asphalt. Helped me complete not just the TQ -- but finally the win under some quick competition.

Also -- in Mod TC -- I added a TON more drag brake (now at #5 -- thinking about changing to #6) which helped the free transmission in my Awesomatix slow down without me locking up brakes via push brake. Mod car is already using Semi-XBrake

That sounds really interesting
So you would advice us who run 13.5 and 10.5 blinky to switch to the modified 4.7 software? Sounds a bit dumb, but as the software is designed for modified, does the ESC still blink when there isn't any type of timing added? I'd really like to try the new brakes

YES! DO IT NOW! If you're running blinky, your not losing out by going to the 4.7 software.

I moved to LRP ESC because of the braking power on carpet -- as I really needed the extra power to get the Awesomatix slowed down on a super tight local track -- Critters RC.

This is my first season running LRP outdoors -- previously I've run everything else . Semi-XBrake really helps me prevent wheel lock on asphalt.

I want to try BD3 again -- but haven't had the time. It provides the most direct braking...
