[QUOTE=platgof;13271243]It may not bind with the Orange brand rx's, but it does bind with the Blue orange rx's. I am using three of them in different vehicles for racing, and they perform great. I paid $32 shipped for all 3
can you set these to 5.5ms?

Hey guys, I am going to be buying a new radio soon and my LHS only carries Spektrum. I went there today and tried out the 4s and 4r and I like the ergonomics of the r a lot better. However I see all kinds of negative feedback on spektrum radios and receivers and hear great things about airtronics and futaba. So is there anyone here with experience with the DX4R, MT-4 & or the Futaba PLS? If you were to buy one, which one would would it be and why? TIA!

I like Spektrum because I already have a ton of rx's for it. The MT-4 has a loyal following. I found out after going to NIZX batteries, I am not having issues with the DX4R. It does not like low voltage, so no more 1.2 volt rechargeable batteries for mine. Those batteries are cheap at Hobby King.

That's the thing, I've heard some that have not problems and some that do. I was really hoping there was someone on here that has experience with both that could help me make a better educated decision.
What features does the DX4R have that I would miss on the MT-4 (other than backlight)?

FYI: I was at the track yesterday trying another racer's DX3R with my truck using the SR3520 rx. He is possibly upgrading to the Futaba PL. Another racer was using a DX3c and an SR301 rx. When the Futaba was running, the DX3c & SR301 combo glitched horribly. However, my car with the DX3R Pro and SR3520 ran without a hitch. So I'm really thinking a lot of the glitch issues with Spektrum are rx based. I believe I am going with the DX4R for ergonomics reasons and hope that with the DSMR band and better rx the glitching will be solved.
