Yesterday was my first time out with the ET-48 and all I can say is I'm very impressed. Ran a mostly box-stock setup with the exception of yellow springs. I think I need to go a little lighter on the diff oils F & R but otherwise it felt really good.

There were only a couple of e-truggies at the Connecticut State Championships @ Wolcott Hobbies and Raceway so they ran us with the nitros. We were scored separately, but I was running in third overall and first in electric when they pulled the electrics at the 10 minute mark.

Considering that this was my first 1/8 scale event in 2 years and my first time ever running a truggy I'm very happy.

I'm running something similar. 1750L Orion behind a R8S speedo, 5600 mah battery. Geared 20/44. Came off after 11 1/2 minutes @ 165. Adding in the 3 practice laps I had 13 1/2 minutes of track time. Just threw the battery on the charger to store it and it was at 15.6 volts. 15 minutes would definitely be doable as currently configured. Would probably go down a tooth and put in some current limiting beyond that. 20 minutes would be pushing it, but 30 with a pack swap would be no problem. Heat would be the biggest enemy at that point.

It's pretty close in handling, but just not going to get the same amount of traction out of SCT wheels and the narrower track width. When it comes to SCT Tekno is king no doubt, but it's still an SCT.

Have had my ET48 for a few weeks now and I LOVE how simple and clean the layout is. The truck seems to be built like a tank and has shown no signs of wear really yet. I would however like some tuning advice if anyone cares to offer any. I've got two tuning problems. First, while the truck has tons of off-power steering, on power it has some pretty nasty push. What tuning advice would you recommend to dial in some additional on-power steering? Second, exiting a corner, the rear seems very loose and wants to step out. I feel like it also needs a dose of rear end traction. Any tips there? Overall I'm happy and this out of the box, I'm sure once I dial it in I'll be totally in love with it.

The reviews Ive read rave about it :-) I've had SCTs some years ago but wasn't impressed at all and moved to 1/8s but now the tracks close by have many more SCTs than 1/8s so just keen to run with the crowd ..lol..Looks the pick of the bunch, specially with parts compatibility.

Bought one to build and race and the other for a complete parts purchase, but have never needed a part yet!!! These Truggys are gold !!!

lolol..Na mate sorry, sticking with my Tekno fleet :-) As I said, i got a great deal selling my complete Durango fleet so pretty cashed up at the moment .

The Truggy and Buggy are brilliant man, you wont be disappointed !! If the SCT is half as good ill be happy :-)
