Maybe such thing was noticed only by me, maybe it's so obvious so nobody mentioned this here, but anyway: somewhere between 2.5 and 3 liters buggy came into broken-in state. More plush in suspension, faster squaring on corner exit. I've heard that Losi develop required slops and begin to run as supposed near to the end of first gallon. Of course Tekno is not Losi, but did anyone feel same thing during first gallon? Or it's just my adaptation to this buggy?

I noticed mine got better after every run. Didn't reach full potential until I got about a gallon on car.

I think alot of what your noticing is the bearings freeing up. Part of the Kyosho
Mp9's great handling comes from a super free drive train.

Any news about the tanks, are they available yet?

How often do you change the differential oils, i have found that after a practice day the oil gets very dark, im using the new shims.

The increased performance is probably the bearings breaking in but also your engine breaking in and you prob have smoother power delivery and such...

About the new tanks... I spoke to Thomas at Tekno yesterday and it should be definitely by end of month but I got the sense it would be more like 2 weeks.

A diff oil will never stay completely clear. I change them about once a month when I race every saturday but more because I want to but not necessary

Hello,

As most NB48 owners know, there was an issue with the original fuel tank’s durability. We have worked very hard to correct the problem since the launch of the vehicle. We have received our new updated tanks and we are ready to send out replacements to all affected NB48 owners. The new tanks have been flawless in testing and we are very comfortable releasing them to the public knowing that the issues have been resolved. We have also improved many other areas of the tank in the process, providing you with the best tank on the market.

Revised tank features:
  • Improved material, more flexible, won’t crack or break during hard landings
  • More material around mounting tabs
  • Rubber grommets now included to further increase durability and also minimize vibration, (No O-rings necessary)
  • Clunk is now attached directly to the fuel line, eliminating the nipple and making clunk/fuel line replacement easier
  • Internal baffle added to prevent clunk from becoming temporarily stuck
  • All new seal design that extends further into tank, maximizing pressure and reducing the possibility of dirt getting into the tank
  • Improved spring tension by moving the cap hinge point lower

We would like to recognize and thank our customers for their patience and incredible support while we worked through this issue. This issue is a little different from our standard warranty policy so we are dealing with the replacement of the NB48 tanks accordingly.

Please read the following information regarding NB48 tank replacement:
  • The new tank is available to NB48 owners at a 100% discount (no cost to you).
  • Please send a picture of the tank you currently have, damaged or not, to our email address [email protected].
  • Limit 1 tank per NB48 vehicle. If you have more than one vehicle, please provide pictures or copies of valid receipts. Additional tanks will be warrantied according to our standard warranty policy (http://www.teknorc.com/warranty-repair/).
  • You will need to reuse the splash guard and fuel line clips from your current tank so don’t discard your old tank yet.
  • Once we have approved your claim, you will receive a coupon code via email good for 100% off the replacement tank (TKR5340B - http://www.teknorc.com/shop/tkr5340b...ne-clips-nb48/).
  • The coupon will also allow for free basic shipping. If you would like to receive your tank ASAP, you can upgrade your shipping method accordingly.
  • The coupon is only valid at www.teknorc.com. You will need to add TKR5340B to your cart. Note this can be the ONLY item in your cart at the time of checkout.
  • Proceed to checkout and enter the coupon code. Your discount should appear and the option for free basic shipping should also appear.
  • Proceed through checkout normally and we’ll get the order processed ASAP.
Thanks again for your patience and support!
