There is a thread for the discussion of the rules. Nothing has been formal yet but is in the pipeline. After my bad run at the NSW Titles with the GT car, I am looking to redeem myself at the ACT Titles. Maybe even a new car, but not a Serpent. They are a great car and I should of bought one, but I like a challenge. Bring on this event.

Hi everyone,

Just to further update you on the schedule for the meeting. I have update the first thred to show alteration to the meeting schedule. There will be no practice on the Wednesday this has been removed to comply with the ARCMCC meeting schedule requirements.

This all comes after attending the NSW Titles where the clubs scheduling for the event came under scrutiny by some of the competitors.

We would like to clarify the clubs position over the scheduling of the meeting over three days and not two.
1. Due to the time of the year being in the middle of winter. (available day light)
2. Weather conditions experienced last year. eg heavy fog stopping racing commencing before 10-11am.
3. Respecting local residents in close proximatey to the track by reducing noise level before 9:00am of a morning.

I do hope this give everyone a clear understanding of the reason why the club has chosen to run the event over three days and not two.

For obvious reasons this is also working on attendance by competitors being enough that we are looking at 1-1/2 to 2 hours per round.

If attendance is not of this level, things can and will most certainly be altered.

The top guys are running the Nova Roma 25. I like the Nova Hardito 21. My mates like the Nova Bonito 7XL 21. Some others are running the RB 21 BXR super long stroke and maybe even the OS 21. The 25's have more torque but use more fuel. The on road engines in my experience don't have the bottom end to pull 3.5Kgs beast on buggy style clutches. No centex style clutches are allowed in the proposed rules.

Is the schudele confirmed yet?

A few of us are considering entering, and being away for only one night (get there early Sat morning, leave Sunday night) makes it alot more attractive than the current 3 days.

Hi Michael,

Yes the schedule has been confirmed. Please refer to first post for scheduling and post explaning why on this page.

Although we are running the event over three days the way qualifying works there is no reason why you are not able to turn up and run Saturday then bump ups Sunday.

You need to put your beast on a diet then, race it more Matt

Because we use foam tires not rubber it needs to be lower. Servo's are now lighter, receiver packs are lighter (lipo)

I run my foams to the rims so it's easy to get the weight down.

1300 is where it should be, that's what's proposed in the draft.

Cheers Daz

Hi Rob,

Online entries should be updated tonight, to allow you to enter GT.

Most of the competitors have been staying at the Alpha Hotel 46 Rowland Rees Crescent, Greenway, Canberra ACT 2900 Ph 62933666 which is approx 10min drive from the track.
