Be the pioneer and lead the way. Once guys see how fast and how well the et handles they're come around quickly. Truggy racing has always been my favorite, I still like buggies and sct 4wd racing but there's nothing like a bad boy truggy. Especially a 9lbs truggy. Big fat tires, loads of power and light weight. Yahoo!!! Our tracks front straight it about 160', truggy tires at the end of the straight are about the size of a med pizza...LOL Too much fun!

What mah size packs are you using and what kind of run times can you safely get without worry? Sometimes I have to run in the nitro truggy class is why I'm asking. I'm trying to figure out if I want to go light weight and do a battery change or go low kv with higher voltage, we don't follow ROAR rules much.

They run 20min mains for nitro truggies at my local track and a few guys running etruggies with them and do a battery swap half way in.

With the SMC 6500 in my eb48 I can get 15mins no prob and think I could stretch it to 20min if i go easy on the trigger and/or set a lower current limit.
20 mins with the Tekin 2000 is a tough act with a 6500mah pack. In my Tekno converted d8t I run a discontinued Castle 1600kv motor, with twin 8000mah packs I can do 20 mins easy, I've made 26 in practice once. Then I switched to 5s and I can do 23 mins with a 5000mah pack. If you want to run with the nitros I'd trade that 2000 for something much lower in kv, like go with something closer ot 1300 or 1400kv and run 5 or 6s you'll run cooler and much longer without much effort if your track isn't fussy about ROAR's silly rules. Plus you'll have plenty of power, just one old mans opinion... My 1600 on 5s is stupid fast, I have to turn the power way down to keep the front tires from going into orbit! LOL I'm shopping for a low kv motor for my et48, probably end up with a Tekin. It's a shame I have two nearly new Castle 1600 and 1800kv truggy motors but sadly they're too long to fit in a Tekno truggy without relocating the esc and they isn't going to happen. They designed it more for Tekin size motors, those old Castle motors are real big.

I was running a 6500 pack. Ran warm-up and a 10 minute race and probably had another couple minutes in it easy.

What does the servo do on the back end of your truggy ?
I've never seen that before.

Makes a lot of sense and If I had no other choice but to run with nitro I would do that, but I'm hoping in a couple of months the class will pick up enough to run etruggy's in their own class consistently. So trying to figure something out to get through a couple of months.

I have 2 SMC 6500's now I alternate in the buggy, will probably add another to the rotation when running both buggy and truggy on the same day. That way I don't have to charge them hot after a race and can have one to swap during the truggy main if running with nitro.

At least i know there will be plenty at AMS and Wicked Weekend coming up!

It's my custom 4 wheel steering.

I haven't tried the 5 cell pack but I have no problems with the 4 cell pack I have from them.
Thanks, from the reviews I read they seem to be good batteries for the price.

I started getting some video today of my ET48, but unfortunately I broke it before I could get some real good vid of the 4 wheel steering in action. There's some on there though. I do have some suspension and other adjustments to make on it, especially the rear shocks.

So to the braking of my truck...Huge jump and hit Hard!!! I hit so hard I bent a hinge pin , broke a front arm and the front tower. Could have been worse! I got some awesome vid of it though, I'll attach a link below and some pics. Still getting used to doin tricks with the 4WS, it's a little different then 2WS. It sure does takes a lot to brake this Truggy!

Hey Tekno, you warranty these parts for me.

You weren't kidding when you said it was a hard hit. Looks like the AWS is working good!

Looks like to me the shock tower was the main point of failure, then after it broke was nothing to stop the arm from getting pushed all the way up and got the brunt of the landing.

DUDE, THAT'S COOL !!! How did you do that ? Is it a kit that you buy to convert it, or your own ingenuity ?

Is there a link to anything that shows how to build it ?

Thanks Matt, Ya it turned out pretty sweet. It's my own ingenuity, a lot of custom made parts. Once I get everything fine tuned and track results are exceptionally great, I'm hoping to talk Tekno into making the parts needed! I've got another ET48 on it's way to me so I can compare them both, one 4WS and one 2WS. That and the 4WS is going to be my racer and 2WS is going to be my basher. No link to how to build it, there's more to it than originally posted on page 160 in this thread.
