Hi,
I'm trying to get my hands on some of the old style HPI silver springs (#6543) for touring car that have completely silver coils, rather than the newer ones that have black coils with a silver paint mark.
If anyone has any that they want to part with please let me know.
Thanks

When I had my blue BD7 with the black direct aluminum servo horn I ran a blue lock nut on the back.

Got my BD7 2014 last week and had a first run yesterday. And now a couple of questions:
I ran a BD5WC before and have a complete set of roll bars, can i use the ones for the rear too? There are shorter and build like in the front.
Wich O-Rings are you using in the shocks? And wich bladders? I build it with "old" HotBodies I used with my BD5WC but it was a nightmare to build these shocks.
I also heard that some people running shorter shocks... are these like the old from the BD5WC?
Thank your for your help.
Greetings form Germany.

A lot of people are using the Yokomo blue orings with the Yokomo black bladders and the 3x1.1mm pistons. I'm running the double blue orings with thin white spacer.
As for short shocks, I ran them for awhile, but just went back to the standard kit shocks. I think the standard shocks feel better for my track conditions (low/med bite carpet). It feels like it's rolling better through the whole turn. I'll save my short shocks for very high bite tracks. This is for 17.5t blinky class.

Ronald Volker's setup is up on PetitRc from the Gran Canaria ETS round, unfortunately the link seems to be broken though

O-Ring: YOK-YS-7HG
Bladder: YOK-YS-8HD
Pistons: YOK-BD-S113
And what about the roll bars?
Will it have an effect if their shorter when i use the "old" ones from my BD5WC? Or will it be the same like the long version.

Short shocks can be used on med grip carpet. I had a good test with them on Sweep QTS32 tires and Jaco Blue. It added initial steering sharpness but the car stays very flat and more stable in the middle of the corner.
What tires are you using?
