Hi Jun! I used to run and race at the old greenhills track especially those organized by Mang Art. Yup, his son Tort was very good. I would normally practice with Doc Eusebio every sunday morning. There was another good driver with his Tamiya Hotshot, Ariel Ong if Im not mistaken? There was also a young kid with his Dad who was using an RC10. Gosh, the names are hard to remember given this was about 30 years ago. Hahaha! Nice to see your back in the hobby. See at JP!
yup! those were good memories.. and now back to make some more, but this time with my kids by my side.. hehehe... the guys name with the father always by his side driving the rc10 was jonathan lliones... hahaha.. funny ow the names just get stored in the back of my head... see you at jp this sat.. come and introduce yourself so we can jam with my dad and phil.. im sure maraming kwento from the past....

If it is the same 2 brothers I remember, I think my best friend and I knew your cousins: the Nocon brothers! In particular Raymond who was our batch in La Salle GH... They both used the Hirobo Zerda (belt driven and super quiet/smooth). My best friend, Lubin Nepomuceno, used the same kit while I raced a Super Champ at first then later a Hot Shot. Here I think is a pic of Raymond now (on the right) and the ZERDA he, his brother and my best friend raced back then with slick or on-road tires:

hahaha thats right!. thats my cousin indeed.. i was just with him getting drunk again the other day.. hahaha.. and the guy on his right is carl "mcfly" guzman.. radio dj and lead singer of alamid... we drink and get him screwed as well.. hahaha... gosh the zerda!
super nice car indeed.. the first time raymond joined the philsite race with us, he actually beat me and won the series.. hahaha.. I came in second.. his driving was super accurate and confident to the bone when taking the zigzag with 2 by 4's as pilons.. ahhaaha.. if you hit those at full speed, goodbye front wheel!... but raymond and his zerda sure showed all of us how to really do it.. hahaha...
more memories keep flooding in!!! I love it!!

figured it out.. the files were too big.. hahaha.. resized them already... remember theses kits guys?....
1. bo link! direct drive 1/10 scale.
2, Rc10 graphite super lightened.. tinadtad ng dad ko ng mga butas to reduce the weight to 1100 kg.. hahaha pan laban namin ke doc eusebio.. the guy that introduced the light car theory to us was a guy from bacolod who raced with us and kicked all our asses kase ang gaan ng kotse, pag dating ng 3 mins, lahat tayo pa lo bat na and siya parang fresh a rin ang bat.. hahah.. his name was Ling Long Vargas..
