vin.... as requested... our grand vintage toolbox.. hahaha!!! parts from the 80"S still there waiting to be used! hahaha.. hows that for an investment... look carefully, there are parts form nitros 1/10 scale, and planes too... hahaha.. sentimental value that can never be replaced.. hehehe... so anyone who wants to take a closer look at the mahiwagang tool box,.. just come on down! hahaha....
Amazing but I just realized that I have almost the exact same kind of tackle/tool box which I used back then! My Dad bought it for me in Dao, Pampanga when they still had all that good American surplus and PX stuff... Wow! Talk about having a ton of the red "must have modification" Kyosho shocks! I had a a few pairs for my Tamiya Super Champ and HotShot but it looks like you either had a dozen kits back then or lots of back-up shocks for your cars... Serious racer talaga!
By the way, that is an insane soldering iron... looks so... Medieval!
[QUOTE=jun.venturanza;13040921]
aaaaaah the cruz brothers... abet, noli, and nilo cruz.... hahaha.. yes... alot of people hated them.. they seemed to be rough around the edges... hehe... but their RC10 was one of the fastest.
Yup... that was the sentiment and vibe I got from others at the track. I asked my buddy Lubin who drove the Zerda like your cousins and he corrected me and said we were older than the youngest Cruz brother but the other two were just a batch or so ahead of us at LSGH. Yes, they made sure everyone knew they had a fast RC10 among their stable of racing kits...
I told raymond to hang around the track with me and hell probably do it one of these days....
so where do you run your rc10?.. malamang kina mang?.... I planned to join there also and guess what,.. gonna run our old rc10's! hahaha... just need new parts that broke already in practice due to being 28 years old! hahaha.... the car was probably saying... "patay na ako, binubuhay mo pa... hayaan mo na akong patay!!" hahaha....

check out the gas powered 1/8 scale formula car.. hahaha.. its purely metal... even the rims are metal.. the thing is so heavy..
and second item is another top of the line drill!! haha.. its batteries never run out!!! and notice na me nakakabit pa na drill bit.... thats because I still use it up to now! hahaha!! oh ang tagal ng bateria niyan di ba... beat that!.. hehehe....

That's a crazy drill... parang pang mga Neanderthal! Don't think anyone will beat that (along with the soldering iron you posted) with regard to "vintage" tools...

Ha! I'll have to remind Raffy of the "motto" of his... Now one of his favorites is "Slow is Fast"... and it seems to work for him! I wonder if he has pics from back in the day...
The 80's seems to be the peak of the RC hobby here in the Philippines hopefully it can be revived.

Jun, bring your RC10 to our QCRCCC Off-Road track in CV and join our races... there are a few old timers from the 80s and 90s there so the kwentos will be fantastic! It would be great if you could bring Raymond with you... Does he still have his Zerda? If so it can be revived and we can have a Vintage Class with a bunch of others! I have a few RC10s now but definitely will need to assemble or revive them. I think I got 1 or 2 as runners and the others are to be shelf queens or NIB closet kits. My Super Champ could use a lot of attention as well (unfortunately after all the modifications it looks nothing like the original kit). My HotShot is in much better shape... along with its Checkpoint Gold motor!
Hey, by chance did that gas powered 1/8th Scale Formula 1 type car race in Greenhills when the track was held at the big parking lot in front of Shakey's (behind Chew-Chew Junction even before it was built?)...
