The latest app update hasn't been posted yet. Trust me you will be given notice. IF you've already installed the beta the app store will let you know there is an update. I'd also suggest you follow one of our many social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Google + etc as the updates are posted there as well.

Yea, I kind of wish Tekin would have been a little more clear on that. Had I known that I wouldn't have spent $35 on a new hotwire that says android on it and updated my S3 to 4.2. So the update may not fix that?

The next app update should allow for 4.2+ AOS to work as well as offer Gen1 esc support using both the Hotwire 1.0 and 2.0 versions.
The 2.0 has some added hardware inside that allows you to not NEED a OTG cable, rather it will allow for standard cable adapters to work as well.
So if you have for example a gender changer for your phone to a standard USB 2.0 female, it will work on the 2.0 Hotwire but not the 1.0.

I've been testing on my S4 running 4.3 stock and 4.4 rooted(Cyanogen) and both work fine.

So if I buy a 2.0 hotwire, can I use it with my Android 4.0.4 on my HTC that does not support OTG if I have the battery plugged into the ESC? I tried my HW 1.0 with an OTG cable with the battery plugged in and it doesn't power up the HW (using my RSX). Is that what was changed about the 2.0 HW? Sorry just a little confused, really want to make this work since I have a RS Gen 2, RX8 Gen 2 and an RSX in my fleet.
Have you tried keyboard or USB drive?
