I just ordered a hotwire 2.0. Hoping I can use my kids nexus 7 soonish for updating the esc. Since I am slowly converting to tekin esc's

I think I have it figured out now. The current BETA version of the app wont work on 4.2+. When the app is updated, everything should be sorted out.

Thanks, looking forward to the app update. I got my 2.0 HW yesterday and just for giggles I tried it on my tablet without joy. Sounds like this will be all fixed up soon.

anyone using cyanogen mod 4.2.2 with the hotwire and otg/gender changer with the hotwire/2.0? issues?

Anything with 4.2.2 is not going to work until the next release of Hotwire software. (We hope)

Yea, I kind of wish Tekin would have been a little more clear on that. Had I known that I wouldn't have spent $35 on a new hotwire that says android on it and updated my S3 to 4.2. So the update may not fix that?

The 2.0 has some added hardware inside that allows you to not NEED a OTG cable, rather it will allow for standard cable adapters to work as well.

I tried my HW 1.0 with an OTG cable with the battery plugged in and it doesn't power up the HW (using my RSX). Is that what was changed about the 2.0 HW? Sorry just a little confused, really want to make this work since I have a RS Gen 2, RX8 Gen 2 and an RSX in my fleet.
