If you are referring to the DNX408t body, no, it is not painted yet. I'm still not sure how I wanna do it. I usually do characters of some sort, but I'm contemplating not going that route this time.

I have my radio set at 65%.
Do you mean you had your current limiter set to 65%?

No I go to travel and set the throttle depending on track conditions. The last trip to the track 65% was just right, kind of boring but my lap times were faster than having it turned way up.

I know there are varying opinions on this but I feel you shouldn't use your radio's EPA to change your car's driving, I've always dealt with heat issues when I tried that. It's best to use a slower motor if possible. If a slower motor isn't available, what I've found to work best for me is changing my throttle curve. Typically people use an expo but the curve always feels funny to me while driving, a linear setting is best. What I do is break the line into two lines. The first goes from 0 trigger and 0 throttle to about 90 trigger and 75 throttle. The second part of the line goes from there to 100 trigger and 100 throttle. Here's a pic of what I mean to explain it better with A being a normal, linear curve and B being what I do. The best thing about this setup is that it will feel like a slower motor almost everywhere but the straight because you will still have full speed. You can of course adjust your "shift point" higher or lower to suit your particular track or driving style.

If you have an MT4 you can do it on your radio, and a MMPro can do it in the link setup on the computer.

I believe my futaba 4pkr-s can do this as well. I will check to confirm.

I'll have to check that out, thank you. I'm not having any heat issues as long as I'm geared properly, if trying to gear over 45mph I'll have heat problems. Most of the tracks around here aren't big enough to gear for much more than 40. When I saw that other gentleman geared for almost 48mph, it blew me away he was getting away without toasting his motor and or esc.

Ramos and I both slightly over gear and use the current limiter to tame the motor down to get a better more predictable torque curve.

Also the don't use Rx epa to tame a motor. The motor will still have high amp draw under load through the rpms causing your heat. If you use a current limiter it doesn't hinder top speed or the throttle curve. It simply takes some edge off and helps you keep from blowing the tires off coming out of a corner all while having less heat and strain on the electronics.

it is always just an opinion but I hate that body. It might grow on me but I'm 70 and not that much time left.

Any aftermarket ones out there?

The truggy with the elephant seal body just came out, so no one has had time to make a new body. The DNX408T body can be made to fit, but there obviously will be a huge gap between the sides of the vehicle and the body. I have that body on mine.

My favourite part is where all the footage was all chopped up to go with the music so you couldn't actually make out what was happening ever.

Sorry :P it hurt my eyes a little bit to watch, I often wanted to see a complete jump or sweet high speed line through a corner and it would cut repeatedly so you never really got to see even a short section of race footage. Well, maybe at the end, I gave up about 2/3 the way through.

I'm sure some people will like it, not my style though!

I understand. Editing to the beat and music is difficult. Not a race video. Sorta like a commercial lol.
