Is it sensored? I looked on hobbypartz.com and yes they're sensored.

Better way is to have it on set up blocks with wheels off and measure distance under hubs to ground. You can find the max droop this way and adjust for different shock mount positions on arm so shocks never fully extend when in the air. You want the droop screw to limit travel before shock is at max extension. Otherwise you will destroy shocks pretty quick.

If you don't like the Tekno way of adjusting droop from the bottom, get some of these.

Ball bearing droop screws
A little pricey, but so is a $600 truggy!
They work great, I have them in everything. No more chassis gouging or unreliable droop settings.
That is where I have always measured from before but never knew for sure. Thank you Precision1 for confirming it for me.

Dan Looking good did you use a standard mod 1 pinion or did you have to use the elongated type pinion ? Tekno R/C Long Shank Pinion 15T Mod 1.5mm Bore HrdSteel

It looked kind of cool, if somebody made one that would reach the rear tower it would look fine. I was real careful because I didn't want to beat up those beautiful shocks and towers. Congrats on getting your kit, now the fun part!!!
Need to see some pix when it's done Still looking for a paint scheme, the body is always the hard part for me??I love the build, in fact I milk it...lol Almost hate when I'm done. Maybe a Batman Theme, this thing has that kind of Tumbler front end???

Goes together real nice. I've started a thread with some tips. Plus provided a lot of measurements for those contemplating alternative bodies.

THREAD is Here.

I was planning on being content with my Tekno V4 chassis RC8TE trucks but as I was working on my track today and making it more complex I knew then that would have to get one of these.

Any reason why the shocks are in pos #4 for kit setup? I ran pos #3 felt great overall but honestly was a little too soft/plush feeling for my liking, I was considering thicker fluids (already heavy) or maybe just moving out to pos#2 on the towers. I've ordered 1 rate higher tekno springs to play with as well. Any thoughts? Other than that she felt great turned great... direct drive vs traction drive is pretty noticeable but the 1350kv motor on 6s has some torque for sure. What are most going with for gearing?

Oh yes, Batman!!! My son does all my painting and his biggest problem is the design. Next one will have a Batman scheme for sure, thanks!!!!!!!!

You should be able to sand the center brace down far enough to run a 13T, no machining the motor mount necessary.

Is it possible on the truggy to use a larger spur?

using the rc asylum script top speed calculator, unless I am looking at it wrong, putting in 4 for the diff ratio, 44T for the spur, 14T pinion and the 2000Kv Tekin motor (rated on that site at 2100Kv), you are basically at 42mph theoretical (using Proline LPR Crimefighter tires)

Am I doing something wrong in my calculations?

Right now, seems a lower Kv motor, say the 1700Kv Truggy one from Tekin if you are so included gives a better gearing range from the 35mph to 40mph range.
The truggy uses different ring and pinion gears than the buggy. The buggy uses 40/10 for a 4:1 ratio whereas the truggy uses 40/9 to get it down to a 4.44:1.

I had to do this for my Novak motor in my EB48 and it works great. Just sand a little at a time to not take too much off and make the center brace weak.

Thanks!

Looks like a 1700 - 1800Kv gives me the best range that I would need for the variety of tracks here.

Looking forward to hearing if anyone tried a 1700 or 1800Kv buggy motor in the truggy.
