I came really close to making you an offer on this before buying my ESC/motor new from amain. If your stuff was gen 2, I would have gone for it.

I'm not sure there is much difference.. I've been running 6s for a while, they were my top motor picks (t8's), I've seen a few people have issues w/ gen2 so I stayed with what I knew worked great.. On a positive note I have not seen any more g2 truggy/buggy motor issues recently. I did see another rx8 white give away the magic smoke this last weekend :P

2. I want a good set of 6S packs to run this... What would you all recommend for a good battery?

Keep in mind that this is my first electric r/c vehicle (since I was a kid), so I am trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can!

Some guys tell me I should just get hard-case packs while others say it doesn't matter... I have no clue! LoL! I have looked at the SMC 6S hard-case packs and they seem pretty legit to me but I wanted to see what you guys had to say before I take the plunge on that big of a purchase!

Thank you in advance!
i use the same motor and after many incorrect lipo buys (3800 - 4400 mah) i realized its way too much run-time and i could also benefit from a weight saving, so after buying packs from 3000mah to about 3500 it was still too much, and now i exclusively use 2600mah gens ace 25-50c packs and they work great (12-14min runtime) and the weight is no more than 400grams...

just something to consider before you purchase your lipos, i wish i had someone to tell me this before i wasted $$$ on 6-7 lipos im probably no longer gonna use.

Is there a hidden gem I should know about before I order tires/rims? I need to get a couple sets to get going and wanted to ask you guys first!

Thanks!

I've been liking green hybrid pre-mounts for hard pack with pretty much any kind of dust conditions.

Hey guys this is my first jump into the Truggy's, I'm gonna be running pro-match 7600 mah 4s packs. Now on all my tenth scale stuff I run bullet plugs on my batteries, no one does that with these correct? And if so what's the most used plug, deans?

DO NOT go deans, any 5mm or greater bullet(solid not caged) style plug is best
like xt60, EC5, Castle's new green plugs, etc
Deans will work, but are a pain in the @$$
