Normally 500-700 usually a good usable range. may need slightly different setups.. but don't go past 800, this is some stress on a setup, but if you run w/ nitro's a nice 5k 6s lipo will get you some darn good run time :P Just don't want to be messing up a ton. My main packs this year w/ this truggy will be gens ace 4000mah 60c/120c 22.2v packs.. come in just under 700g.

Mad props to Tekno on this gnarly machine, nearly finished mine.

It's awesome.

Also got to mention Wartelle Modellisme for having the kits so fast.

P.S.
I just ordered the DEX body on faith. [Anyone wanting to buy a spare ET48 body?] Should have it in 2 days. I'll make dirt guards for it later. The truggy interior is just gonna have to get a little dirty for one weekend. And since my servo hasn't arrived, the RC8.2e is gonna get raped.
Please update us if the DEX408T body fits!!

I found on my EB48 that both the hub carriers and bushings needed to be replaced about every 3 months to say tight and I am a low maintenance type of guy and would not just change them to change them. So yes metal carriers would be a nice option. Maybe not "needed" but nice still.

I haven't had a chance to test battery weights in my et48 yet, my Tekno v4 converted d8t is close in over all weight and I liked 505g battery weight for qualifying and for mains of no more than 12mins a pack of 590. I've tried real heavy setups years ago trying to race with nito truggies. Go too heavy and my d8t handled like a pig in mud. My advice is weigh all of your electronics, then try to keep the weight of the battery as close as possible and still get enough run time. I bought 4 digital scales, makes setting up your race rc's much easier. You can come close without scales, go to a site like amainhobbies.com and look up the specs of your electronics, might not be perfect but you should be able to come close.

It's E Truggy! Who cares how heavy it is!? lol They're grossly over powered and SOOO much fun to drive...

This one is very "easy" on the eyes....Well done Tekno, well done.

Hey, thanks for the feedback y'all. I was looking at those Gens Ace packs that 8ight-e mentioned, or the Hyperion 4200 35c packs. Unless we can all convince SMC or SPC to order us up some 6s packs using their suppliers cells. I've got time to work it over, and I'll be watching here to see what y'all are running.

Original post (minus a couple pics):
"Is this OK? I just got the kit today. I need to know if this is typical before I start building the kit."

---UPDATE----
The removed pics showed a bit of sink on the other side of the chassis. I spoke to Tekno [it's so refreshing to be able to actually get hold of real person...and one that really knows the product]. I was told that this is how they are, even on the nitro chassis's. Since the diff housing is fully closed (not open at the bottom), there should be no issue. I was told if the build does run into a snag because of this, call them back. So, begin the build I shall.

I wouldn't run that chassis, if you do, make sure the diff housing seals against the chassis or you will end up with a front gear box full of dirt.

I'm surprised to see that level of quality in a Tekno kit!

Looks kinda like the process was to drill/mill and then bend, rather than to bend and then drill/mill, causing the differing amounts of material between the holes, vs from the holes to chassis edge, to bend at different rates. I'm sure Tekno can look at it and clarify though. Either way, with the gearboxes sealed, you won't get dirt in there.
