Question, I was rebuilding the diffs on my truck the other day and I used some brand new parts I had as spares. I noticed that the two new gear cases I had one had bronze outdrive inserts (gold colored) and the other had black (steel) inserts. I assume they switched over from bronze to steel for durability? Anyone know when this happened (the switch to steel inserts)?

Cool, I'll have to look into that but i really don't want to go the RX8 because everyone and their grandma runs tekin around here. And it'll be nice to have it fit nice under the belt

I think its been about a year now give or take. It was talked about for a long time before it finally happened.

Sugs, thanks. Funny thing is the steel inserts seem to have as much slop as the bronze inserts. I guess they were going for longer wear with steel (may be cheaper too) but bronze is self lubricating.

I picked up a used roller and I am converting it to a mid weight 4 gear. I want to compare a heavier 4 gear truck to my ultra lite. Both will have 4 gear trannys, cDiffs, M2C toe blocks and comparable motors (Tekin Pro4 4000kv and a Castle 3800kv).

My 2nd truck coming together.

Same mods as my 1st truck, servo flat on the chassis.

Second 4 gear modded motor plate and cDiff.

Carbon Fibre saddle pack brace rubs my jumper bullet plugs just a teeny bit. Still fits in there ok but will this cause any problems? The power and ground to the esc is free and the brace is not touching those.

Also, here is my front camber mod-ish thing... it gets the geometry closer to B44, couldn't really get a feel for if it worked or not... I kept breaking all weekend.

No. I haven't had any problems with them. Do not buy their CVD's! They're very fragile .

Cool use of another kits part, would have been even cooler if you found the use of a totally random bike part though

Nipple
