Tekno SCT410 Thread
I used to run the same springs set up and it worked well with losi 30 front and losi 25 out back. Tekno pistons, I switched to Yellows up front and I like it gives me more stability through the zig zags where I used to traction roll a bit.

Well all of the frustration and tuning finally paid off!
truck is dialed no more nose dive. I changed my driving style and the key ingredient was adding weight to the rear of the truck. I will post setup when I get a chance. Hard packed out door blue grooved track. Finally can say the tekno truck is my favorite. Thanks for making an awesome product Tekno! Keep up the good work!

Will be building my sct410 this week. Super stoked!
Will be running rx8 v2 and a pro 4 hd 4300. Any suggestions on the pinion? I went ahead and ordered a 16 tooth, seeings that it's sort of middle of the road.
I hear that the box stock setup is fairly decent and is a good starting point, but needs refinement. Any suggestions other than stiffer springs and moving the battery back to keep it level on jumps?

Ran the Fioroni's with green/green Tekno springs starting at 35/30 and it was way too thick for me, a second off my oace. By the main I had changed fluid twice and was down to 27/22 and only off by .2
25/20 is going in for next weekend, those have a ton of pack.

Chris, had a blast racing with you today. Your Tekno is very fast.

what springs, oil and pistons are you running front and rear?
yeah, i didn't get to run this weekend, but i put fioroni's in. was going to go with sramos' set up of 35/27.5, but after putting in 27.5 in the rear, i went down to 32.5 in the front and it still feels pretty slow (AE oil). i'll run it as is, but anticipate going down in oils as well. i'm just wondering how it will effect the spring rate. i'm not sure i'd go any softer than tekno red in the rear regardless of piston/oil, but the fronts i'm sure i'll back off (put tekno yellows on, but thinking of going down to something more in the 4.2 range like associated silvers or durango white/grey).
@ Shark, good meeting you, racing was fun tonight and even got my feet wet with stock buggy.
I think it will be faster than with the 8x pistons I just have to get oil weights figured out.
@ Rc Phreak I guess you will probably be able to get away with running higher CST oil with the higher spring rates, I was surprised though at how far down I had to go to get it to start handling. Bring a hand full of oil weights when you go out, I left a near full bottle of 22.5 at home thinking I had the weights I'd need covered and had to pick one up at the track

i don't get a lot of test/tune time. track is too far away. for me, i only get maybe a pack on race day before racing starts. i need to be close when i get there (what "feels" right on bench) and then maybe one or two tweaks before racing starts. i will still give sramos' setup a shot before changing (even though the oil feels too heavy). maybe with the pack these have, i can get away with a lighter spring in the rear if i go down on the oil. i'm just paranoid of the dreaded nose dive if i go too soft on the rear spring.
