FlySky FS iT4 Transmitter Thread
#181
I found out that there is a new Firmware update for the FS IT4. It comes preinstaled on the last IT4 shipped. A friend of mine has it and there is an option to change from the AFHDS 2 to AFHDS on the RX setup/bind screen. You can use the older 3 channel receivers and I think it keeps binded to the older receivers (could not test since we did not have these receivers).
I asked FlySky about the new firmware so we can update on our older IT4.
Awaiting for a response.

excellent please do let us know, and if you are so inclined perhaps video would be cool too, but if not I will definitely make a video addressing the situation. Did you order from hobbypartz/any of their sister websites?

Ya hobbypartz 20% off I have 2 sc10.2 mod and stock pretty much clones set up wise and if the prob is not fixed and I have to bind every time I might just pull the receiver and swap it to my other truck most of my setting are on the ecs anyway and every track is diff so it's not a big deal to tweek a little from truck to truck. I really got it for the throttle curve and the stearing adjustments that I can't make on the ecs right before the race. I have a gt3b and really like it but I just needed a few more adjustments to make it my trucks to drive a little better. I'm so close to running fast lap I think this will get me the A main win. Maybe lol

Just got a email from hobby partz and they said firmware is not released yet but he said you don't have to plug in the bind plug just switch your radio to the right frequency and bind all your settings will be saved takes a second I will update when I get it set up

interesting. for the European version of this remote(absima crt4 or something like that) the new 1.01 version of the firmware which has the afhds2 toggle option was released a couple months ago, I mainly want that option just to use my old receivers and hopefully not have to rebind the receivers each time. I guess Ill just keep waiting. Thanks for the update!

I think what I'm going to do is program each track into my receiver we have 3 local tracks and just bind my truck to the track.. I think it will work better seeing I run 2 trucks so I will program for instance appleton track mod 1 and stock 1 should work sweet that way I won't have to be messing with adjustments.. I'm pretty sure if I program my settings they will not get erased so bind and go. What do u guys think of this idea should work?

Ok got the radio all I can say is wow the setting on it are amazing you can adjust to the finest adjustment. I adjusted my throttle curve on my mod because I was havering a hard time breaking the rear end loose not anymore it's smooth power with minimal tire spin and I bet I could work that out as well. As far as the binding goes not a issue all my settings are saved for each truck and I zippy tied the bind plug on my ecs wire it take a second to do and my ecs does not need to be reprogrammed
this is one bad a$$ radio. Long term I will update on how rugged it is

I have been messing with mine for two weeks now. It is an amazing radio. I just leave the bind plug in the Rx for now. I will get some micro switches and put them on the bind plug.
For what this radio does, man o man what a dream. I was dialing in some expo and watching the curve on the screen and seeing how the truck responded, super easy. It is like using a touch pad, phone, touch screen monitor. You can easily flip between screens and settings. best bang for the buck. I picked mine up from Hobby Partz for $113.99 to the door. Free shipping over $100.00, 20% discount on the $129.99.
Now I just need more cars!!!
Buzz.

Damn. If you still have to re-bind I am still not in. There is enough going on between classes at a race without having to bind your radio to your car. Was really hoping to pick this thing up, but I guess I'll go the route of the DX4R Pro instead.

it takes about 5 seconds to hit Rx setup, bind, "OK" then you are good to go. With the bind plug left in, an easy work around.
The way I do it.
Turn on Tx, go to model, select my model, go to Rx setup, put a battery in the car, "car horn sound" from Tx, hit "bind" on Tx, screen flashes, done. Took a lot longer to type then to do.
I keep hearing rumors they are coming out with new firmware. in some of the firmware, you can turn off the AFMDS, use the old Rx's and no need to bind each time. I have looked through mine and I do not see where to turn it off?

in regards to the afhds2 switch I believe you need version 1.1 firmware or 1.01 not sure, but yea, I know this cause the absima is the same(or similar) thing. so yea, for me its just a waiting game.
