For those experienced.....what is your setup on brake bias? More in front / more in rear and what does it give you?

installing the mbx7 front arm holders (MUGE2109) gave the buggy the most noticable difference in turning radius imo. you will have to crank way down on your turnbuckles to get your toe back.

you could also try standing your front shocks up 1 hole on the tower... this will give your front end more response but with a high traction track might be too much... its just personal feel. when i first installed the mbx7 arm holders i had my shocks stood up on a tight track w decent grip and it was too much... my rear end was whipping around too quick and breaking loose.

i would suggest 5 in your rear diff as well which will give you better on power grip and acceleration out of corners.

not that im super experienced but...

i run mine more towards the back so my front wheels dont lock up. once your front wheels lock up you cant steer and the car is unpredictable. i like when being able to lock up the rear (if needed) so that i can whip the rear end around.

Just a quick and probably dumb question but, will the 7 tank fit in the 6r? I like the clunk style better. Thanks.

i havent tried it but i remember reading that the nipple on the front of the 7 tank will hit. I do remember some people installing clunks in their 6 tanks though... im pretty sure if you bought both tanks... you could use the 7 nipple/seal and clunk assembly and install it on your 6 tank... but if i remember correctly the 6 tank has that little round thing on the bottom right under the lid that might get in the way of where the clunk would sit. not sure how the people running the clunks were doing it... maybe removing that peice, i dunno. just my $.02

yes. the caps just dont work with recessed flywheels. they come with a few shims to assist with spacing if need be as well. just make sure you get the caps that match your engine. great product

Bringing back the dead thread. I still am running my original mbx6 and it is a great car. I thought I read awhile ago that there was some talk about using the carbon fiber steering pieces that hook to the pillow ball carriers from the mbx7 to get more steering.
After running against some of these durangos and mbx7 cars I am looking for more steering.

Im in the same boat as you hobdog with my mbx6 constantly looking for more steering. The track I normally run at is a small, tight, indoor track. 90% of my friends run a 8ight at the track, the 8ight is a great car, turns great and is very nimble in the tight sections where I get left at, lol. I am the kind of person that likes to be different though and tries different cars. The only car I have ran at this track that is as nimble and turns as great or better than the losi is an Agama. I liked that car alot but had to get rid of it for a few reasons. The Agama kind of spoiled me when trying all the other cars because now I know how good one of these cars can turn. My current car is a teckno converted MBX6 and i have tried almost everything to get this thing to turn how I would like it to. So far from a basic setup I have changed rear toe to 2.5, tried different caster settings but settled back to stock center because I am looking for more off and on power steering. Completely removed the front sway bar, and moved rear outer hub hinge pin location to lower hole, tried various ackerman settings (returning to stock because that is just a compromise as well). Also ran SS double dees in the front and soft impacts in the rear. That made it steer well but isn't the answer. Diffs are currently 7/7/3 seems to be the best compromise. Next thing I am going to try is moving my camber link locations and rear lower roll center setings around. The car is close to where I want it now and I think moving those will make it about right.
