Thanks Troy, has anyone else ever ran 21.5T Boosted?

Questions??

Anyone help me out here, running v5 with X20 13.5t motor. Tight indoor carpet track, just a baseline setting I can work from. The recommendation with the motor says to gear at 5.5:1 FDR for 13.5 TC. I just don't want to blow it up so any help at all would be appreciated

Are you running boosted or blinky?
Blinky I would start around 4.6:1 with 2 dot insert, 37.5 degree
Boost Not sure it's been a long time maybe 6.3:1 with 4 dot 27.5degree.
It really is going to depend on how you have the SC set up with the boost and ramp though.

Hi Sean, thanks for replying, we run boosted, I have it set with the following, 2,5,4,8,7,7,3
My FDR is 8.5, the motor timing is set at 27.5 box stock. Does this look right?
Our next meeting is on Sunday so I won't really know till then when I get it down on the track. Just thought if there was anyone running the same combo could check against theirs.

Your FDR seems a bit high to me but is track dependant.
Also I presume you mean 2,5,4,8,7,5,3 as there is no 7 in the turbo mode.
What firmware are you using?
How long is your main straight?

I'm using the v5 firmware, our main straight is about 25-30m long.

Okay,

I would start at a fdr of say 7.0 - 7.5 and go from there.
Also the std timing insert as you have with the following settings, 2,4,2,5,8,5,3 and work from there.
Pay attention to your motor on the main straight, try and listen if it’s over revving or still picking up speed by the time you get to the end. And always remember to check temps every 2min.
Goodluck

I tried the capacitor and note: the lrp works team #82531 does not work with the flow works team. When I first drove the car under breaking the steering servo would not respond. When throttle resumed the steering servo would act normal. There is some wrong signals going through the system with this capacitor on it. I reinstalled the original capacitor and it works normal.

The problem I am having is the car slows down a bit after the first 2-3 laps, motor temp is about 75 degrees c. Any suggestions to what I have wrong?
First Put the 4 dot insert back in the motor (less motor timing).
After this, try your FDR at 4.5 , 21.5 boosted usually needs FDR between 4 to 5.

I could not let this capacitor go to waste. I installed it on my 22T that has the LRP SXX v2 TC Spec ESC and it works great, more punch with the throttle. I still dont know why it wont work with the Flow Works Team?? anyone know why? I see the pros using it! I called LRP and they said it should work fine with the FWT.

Here is the instructions for the USB Bridge. It should have been included with your purchase.
