What are those made of? A felt kind of stuff like the stock pads? They don't say other than FCS... Fiber Composite Stuff?

Interesting to note they also sand the pads

I run on a low bite clay track

does the avid chassis set really make that much of a difference?

Simple answer, Yes it does.

If you spend any money on the buggy, spend it on the Avid chassis.

And you will notice a significant difference on a low bite clay track as well. That is what I run on.

I was told that It wouldn't preform well on our low bite track, but then you have people running the c4.2 which is made for high bite tracks. Can you tell me what it helps? Is the weight lower to the ground hair plant it better?

The B44.2 has been out for about a year now.

Should we be expecting a B44.3, or a B45 or ...?

If you race indoor the 44.1 is still a great ride....
Just install the 12mm shock and your all good ...
I beg to differ. Parts that differ

1. Longer rear deck
2. Longer slipper shaft
3. VTS Slipper
4. Longer rear dogbone
5. Shocks
6. Battery holders (ok this is trivial)
7. Body of course

The longer chassis and shocks make the car more stable but sacrifice a little in the turn in. But that can be mitigated by setup.

yes, it makes the car stiffer so the suspension and setup really works better. The decreased mechanical traction from the stiffer chassis makes the car handle much better.

FWIW, in regards to upgrading from a .1 to .2.
I am currently running a PL Bulldog body for the .1 on my .2. Not real sure how much of a difference there is "supposed" to be, but mine fits well.

The longer car was just marketing gimmick ..

Quite few of our local Ae drivers including me still use the short chassis ....

Same here, just shim the rear body mount forward ~4mm.

If I had a 44.1, I'd throw on a Triad, and some big bores and call it done. Hell, I'd probably trade my .2 for a properly maintained .1.
