Red face Might have fixed it but is it the right way?

After playing within this morning I adjusted throttle trim on controller and seems to be ok but should I have to do that if I calibrate it at zero?

Turn up your neutral width, The ESC is having a hard time finding "neutral"

Ah, are you using a Gen2 esc? Programming through the port? What PC are you using?

i had a really bad crash and the battery actually shot out of the car ripping all three battery straps off with it. The wire broke at the post for this crash so i just re-soldered, but i think my battery moved around a few times after that and so it's obviously loosened the posts over a bit of time.

I'm going to get foam spacers for my battery tray so that the battery wont move around anymore but will the post/s break off eventually? I'm scared a post will touch another if it comes completely off and I'm not really in the mood to smoke a 3rd rx8 in 2 months. This particular rx8 i have 10 gauge wire on and i think it could also be a bit heavy on the posts...should i change to 12?

any help/suggestions will be appreciated..
The issue on fixing the posts isn't whether or not you can solder it back on. It's whether or not the board is delaminating from the yank.

10 awg wire is overkill for the application. 12 is fine and what we ship the Rx8's with.

Got a Mugen MBX7 Eco M spec with the Rx8 gen2 and the 1900kv T8 gen2 motor. My question is, how much timing advance can I program safely on my T8 gen2? Using the stock gearing for now 14t, can't remember the spur. Thx

i will change back to 12 awg..

ok so does that mean i need to send it in Randy? or have my LHS take a look maybe?

or is there any chance you can explain to me what to check for? i don't mind opening up the esc to have a look and maybe re-solder something but if its more complicated/technical than that i won't touch it. (words like " delaminating" and "yank" don't sound too rookie friendly)

Timing isn't much needed in 1/8. 1/10 different story.

Safely? I've found no reason to go higher than 50 even being silly.

I can tell you however that you will have much better "Gains" by simply gearing up and keeping timing low.

14T is too low, go 15-16.

I asked about a set up sheet for the esc in my Durango SC 4x4 and the one given to me had the esc timing at 75 or 80! Should I follow that setup, or drop it down? It has a Thunder Power 4 turn 550 motor, so there is plenty of speed I am sure without the timing advance. What should I do?

so I wired up the Rx8 Gen2 and ran the 4600 motor man is it smooth.
the Fan. it only comes on for a second then shuts off.
Is it on a thermostat? it only runs when things get hot?
can you control the fan with the hot wire? (on order)
Thanks.

The fan is temp controlled, it comes on for a second then turns off. If your temps get up to where the ESC wants it, it will turn on.
You can change that to always on in the hotwire program.

Correct, those posts should be left uncovered as they dissipate heat.

Is it worth the upgrade? Or wait until the Generation 1 breaks and then buy it?

The TP motor is not a 4 pole. It's 2 pole which does work well with timing.
