We had our final round of the Minnesota Off Road Series this past weekend, held at the Motocity Motidome by Staples, Mn. Luckily inside the dome as we woke up to SNOW falling on Sunday morning for the mains, it's a big, fast layout with huge elevation changes. In his Mugen buggy, Josh again ran the Beat 5 that Neal did up, ran flawless and great power. Josh TQ'd 2 rounds, in 3rd round, he set overall fast time by 10 seconds by running J Concepts Blackjackets in black, they were able to put the power down to the track. In the main, he took off at the tone and never looked back, won by almost a lap but was is cruise control the last 10 minutes.

In Truggy, he qualified 2nd using his usual Bonito power plant, battled the first 27 minutes back and forth for the lead, it was going to be an epic battle to the end but he snapped a rear dog bone. Something we were worried about with the big fast track with one S section that gets rough and temps only at 35 out.

Thanks go out to Neal and John for the great power plants !

I am sure Moxley will chime in as he made the trip south if the border to attend the race and battle with us.

Forgive the quality...my phone sucks and my GoPro ended up with a scratched lense, so it was even worse....

You too Dano, Tough luck this weekend. Was fun battling with you when you were out there. I look forward to next year already.

Bonito ran Flawlessly as usual in truggy, Had a decent but not great qualifying run in both Q1 and 2 but Q3 i was on a 14 lap run which would have seated me in the back of the A but unfortunately had a Clutch failure due to not having pre ground the chassis on my New truck. So 3rd in the B it was. Tony Marks and Danny were the Targets and I promptly took em down in the B finishing 1st with a good 10-12secs over Tony and bumped up to the A.

Started 11th on the grid and on the first lap fell back to 13th, Went wide in 1 corner and Tony and Junker went by. I assessed the situation and put the Hammer down, 30 min later i rolled in 4th. cool Ill take it. had a few good battles the way through the 30 but overall was a Blast.

The Track was INSANELY Fun, BY FAR THE best layout ive ever had the pleasure of driving, The elevation changes and the skill required to pull a competent lap was phenomenal. Im Baffled how FTR and Crew come up with these Awesome layouts year after year.

Special Thanks to Jeff and the whole MN Series Crew for all the hospitality when i come down. Ive been racing with you guys for 6+ years i think and Look forward to each Race. Loosenuts is 1000% on the cards for next year. Just so you know.

And As always Thanks to Neal and Johnny for the Gear to Go Fast.

Thanks Neal and Johnny for another great engine. Ran the clocked 28-7 last weekend at LCRC. Geared it up 2 teeth with a 15t clutchbell on lost creeks big fast flowing track. Man that engine is a hoss! Powerband as smooth as any 21 I've ran. Very deceiving engine. Glad you talked me into this one, lol. Easy 9 min pits on a track nobody was getting 10. You're on the pedal around this monster track. Ran the RB today. It was a big surprise. Bottom end and mid range are stellar. Nice work guys!

Gents,

I have a couple CRE engines I am looking to place (sell) in a worthy home. If ayone is interested in a Bonito and/or a B5 Pro, both Clocked of course, shoot me a PM. They both run perfectly with zero issues.

Special "Team" pricing for anyone with the CRE crew.

The weather cooled off here in the Houston area and the condensed air made for some extremely powerful running with that engine. I run a 9886 41001 combo on a medium to large track and with the extra dense air it was the most powerful running engine I have ever had. After the pit stops it never ran rich, it just flew every time I pulled the trigger. Could not be happier with the clocked p5.
Merdith - You need to try and find a 2041 pipe to try on the Clocked P5.

My dad and I attended the Border Wars Series Finals this past weekend held at HCRCR in Mcdonough, GA. Some of the fastest drivers in the southeast were in attendance, so it was bound to be a great race. After some good qualifying runs in truggy, I was able to put my CRE P5 powered MBX6T in the 3rd qualifying position for Pro Truggy. My buggy qualifiers started off pretty rough, but after TQing round 3 I found myself qualifying 3rd overall in Pro Buggy with my CRE Keep-off 4 powered MBX7.

The truggy main had a very rough start, I got caught up in the first corner wreck and started the race in almost last position. I would battle my way back up to the 3rd position where I would end up finishing. The Buggy main had a much cleaner start, and after the 30 minute main was over I crossed the line in the 2nd position.

Both my CRE motors were screaming all weekend long, and the Mizer inserts gave me a great combination between power and fuel economy with both engines. Huge thanks to Neal and John at CRE for providing such great engines!

I'm planning to build my first nitro buggy with the Tekno NB48. Been racing the EB for about 6 months and love the kit. I have no nitro experience, but access to a good local HS and group of drivers. I've been researching power plants, and Clocked motors and the guys that run the company get a lot of high marks. I'm considering the Werks B2 or B5 as they seem durable and the price is right. I considering Clocked because of the break in and support. Any input on the motor choice, and what else/parts I need to line up to make this a reliable and hopefully competitive ride?

I really like the B5 in truggy. B6 might be better for buggy though. I recommend calling Neal and i'm sure he'll give you a good amount of options for what you need. Sounds like you did your homework. Good luck and enjoy that nitro!

A motor that you can't go wrong with is the RB BLAST. CRE has that thing rockin. In a TKI3 buggy that thing flys!!!! Runs so good, stable, unbelivable power. You also can't beat the price!!!

Thank you for the nice words ! ...we work hard to do a good job..... What experience do you have with nitro ? I can match you with all sorts of different engine options, just depends on which one would suit your needs the best...

Neal, i have a question i need some help with. I found three old Rs5 sleeves in my bag of used up engines. I have messured them and the timing is very close to the P5 we have today. But, theese sylinders have ports under the schnurleports, what wffect does theese ports have? I do not have any pistons for them so i am just curious.

I would like to apologize to anyone who is waiting for their engine, or waiting to hear back from me.... The last 5 days have been quite rough for us here....My lady has been quite sick for the last 6 days with what we now know to be kidney stones....We have been at the hospital now 4 of the last 6 days and have had very little sleep..... We are hoping the worst is over now and I should be back in the shop shortly ! thank you everyone for the continued support !
